A headline like that could mean a lot of things. From America rising up again in 2026 and 2028 to push back against the systemic failure and cultural corruption of the political left, to preventing depression (emotional and economic), to Democrats committing political suicide as a matter of policy.
In a manner of speaking, it could be all of the above. If we can find a way to curtail or end the mechanisms used by the left to recruit fresh blood into their meat-grinder, their demographic decline will inevitably put an end to them as a force in American politics.
Without welfare imports, angry white women propagandized with toxic empathy, and gender mills that take mostly normal kids from mostly normal parents and turn them into genitalia-less freaks, the Left can’t replace itself.
As the Institute for Family Studies’ Lyman Stone pointed out, American conservatives and progressives each had a fertility rate of 2.7 in 1980, well above replacement level. In the 2020s, conservatives’ fertility rate has dropped marginally to about 2.4, still above replacement level.
But the progressives’ rate has fallen to 1.8, below replacement level, and generally tracks the pattern in economically developed countries.
The theory goes that kids tend to follow their parents politically. If center-right couples are having and raising more kids, the math inevitably leans in their favor.
It’s not difficult to see why. Young women increasingly tilt left politically and also tend to marry less often, hold jobs outside the home, say they don’t want children, and travel more frequently. These behaviors correlate with childlessness or with delaying childbearing, which often results in fewer births than desired.
The gap reflects “systematic differences in family formation between conservatives and liberals,” analyst Zachary Donnini wrote.
Even minority women who have typically voted more often for Democrats are having fewer children (with the exception of imported Muslims).
Men are moving right, which means they will be looking for women who think more as they do, depriving angry liberal chicks of mating partners, which, given the objection to bringing children into a world and a nation they hate, adds relevance to the thesis. By making young women intolerable abortion-obsessed scolds, the political left will never get back above replacement value.
If the culture continues to peel back the edges of their enlistment strategies, and Americans find a reason to get off the couch and keep them (mostly) out of power for a decade or two, what’s left will age out, leaving the energetic young Marxists to shout at the darkness.
That’s obviously not how it works. Nothing is so simple. The Islamists will have outbred us and taken control well before that slow walk achieves the sort of momentum needed to matter over decades. A point at which the political left will find itself in hiding so they don’t get tossed off a roof.
Reason enough for both sides to take steps to counter that influence? Probably not. Democrats are so hyper-focused on using whatever assets they have at hand to grasp at power that they will encourage Muslims to continue to run and vote as Democrats on the idea that when the time comes, they will have the power and resources to put down any conservative rebellion from religious Islam.
Yes, Democrats are that blinkered.
That future Democrat party is run by Muslims and a few white Dhimmis. It will be a party of theocratic Islamists purged of jews, gays, preferred pronouns, gender dysphoria, and secular humanists.
As Destructive as the Democrat party has been to women, minorities, and America, even I wouldn’t wish that upon them, but that’s likely their future. Not perhaps while I draw breath, but the Islamists are more patient than the Marxists, and since they are both violent, things could get messy before they get oppressive.
Or, maybe, they eat each other alive. Or we just skip all that and make America Great Again, but that doesn’t happen overnight or without a lot of commitment to preventing the alternative.
There is no Democratic Socialist future without a loss of rights, systemic oppression, and intolerance for views outside their own. There is no Islamist state without the same.
You don’t have to love Trump or his movement, but they are your only hope, even if your only goal is to be left alone to do your thing. Neither the Democrats nor the Islamists are capable of it. If peaceful co-existence is your highest good, you can never vote for a Democrat again or skip voting and leave it to chance.
The midterms are coming, and Team Blue is an injured wild animal trapped in a corner. If you let it out, you won’t like what happens next, and neither will your children or grandchildren.
