Matriculating college kids and campus staff have been a reliable vote for the progressive left for decades. Charlie Kirk dared to preach the message of liberty and critical thinking on their propaganda plantations, and someone assassinated him for it. What followed was the ugly left and something of an ideological rupture.
“You can’t win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”
One bullet put Kirk and his message in front of more people than he would have reached and into the minds of many who were long past spending time on college campuses. Worst still, church attendance is up. Faith was Charlie’s inspiration to bring his mission to the ideological outback. To challenge the indigenous mindset of white top-down indoctrination.
Democrats are trying to formulate a counterattack—some sort of response. Can a party with no faith in anything greater than the government, these kids increasingly blame for the state of their lives, keep those they’ve not lost, and regain the one they lost?
The National Youth Coordinated Table
I expected better from the DC narrative dungeons at the DNC. The National Youth Coordinated Table (NYCT)? That’s the best you can do? And it’s not new or organic.
The NYCT will include “the Young Democrats of America, the College Democrats of America, the High School Democrats of America, and an array of left-leaning organizing groups.”
Dr. Frankenstein (franken steen!) insists the point is not to be the left’s Turning Point, but to use emulate its ability to create civic opportunities. Translation?
A central component of the initiative will be a fellowship program designed to train “hundreds, if not more,” young Americans for Democratic campaign work and activist organizing. Set to roll out in the coming months, Skoufis said, the fellowship will feature paid training “from the DNC and organizations that sit at the Youth Table.”
They are going to pay canvassers as part of a GOTV thing, and that’s fine. Lots of groups do that, and given the string of horrible political “investments,” donors might be more inclined to open their checkbooks for this idea. But can it do much beyond that?
The problem is that Democratic methods of persuasion run in the opposite direction of conservative ones, and it’s hard to imagine that any amount of training could undo the party’s entrenched “my way or the highway” approach to community organizing.
Imagine a Democrat — any Democrat — walking onto a college campus and telling students, “Socialism is the best economic system. Prove me wrong.” Or, “Donald Trump is an existential threat to our democracy. Prove me wrong.”
How long would their commitment to open debate last? Would dissent actually be welcomed — or would the first conservative challenge expose how little tolerance there is for real disagreement, turning the exchange into yet another exercise in dysfunction?
It’s as if The View went on the road. Hey, how about Jasmine Crockett as their student liaison? Can anyone picture here quietly allowing an opposing opinion or (lord help us) criticism of her or her party before…shouting them down. Sorry, that should say responding. Not possible, and not allowed. And they’ve been training their proteges to be just as intolerable, especially the women who wonder why young men aren’t interested in dating or a relationship.
They’re interested but not in your left-wing outrage psychosis.
On a positive note, these ambassadors of progressivism and new wave feminism are driving them to vote Republican.
As for the DNC, it can make all the promises it wants about giving groups a seat at the table, but Democratic socialism’s historical promise is that once they’ve achieved one-party rule, they accelerate toward socialism and then Marxism, and all anyone has to do is point out to the NYCT or its audience that one of the first things they’ll do is silence the radicals who spread their message, incuding many of the professors who helped baptise them in “the faith.”
My prediction?
Angry liberal women will take over, further disenfranchise young men, older men, and maybe even a few young women, and the DNC is powerless to stop it, for fear of being labeled as misogynists or being #MeToo’d out of politics.
David Hogg, for example, will likely not be invited to a seat at the table.
They built that ark and then filled it with people who hate marriage and won’t or can’t “reproduce” (men still can’t birth babies, sorry). Recruitment or conscription is their only hope, and NYCT is their attempt to cajole a demographic they have owned for 50 years, in places where you have to be bold to bring the message of faith, family, and the building blocks of the American Republic.
Charlie inspired millions, and at the cost of his life.
Is James O’Keefe working on getting an undercover ‘journalist” on the inside because those conversations could be some of the most viral nonsense in internet history.
