News broke this week that the FBI had arrested someone in connection with the placement of two pipe bombs on January 6, 2021. As surprising as that might be, it wasn’t the woman everyone suspected from the videos attributed to that individual.
Shauni Rey Kerkhoff, whom an “Expert” suggested was a 94-97% match for the J6 pipe bomber based on a software analysis of gate, stride, walk, etc, is NOT who the FBI arrested. The Blaze and everyone else who shared that speculation, including us, may well owe her an apology if it turns out she had nothing at all to do with it, which appears to be the case.
The suspect has been identified as Brian Cole Jr. of Virginia, The New York Post reported.
Cole, 30, was apprehended by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Thursday morning and a news conference will be held at the Department of Justice to provide further details to the public.

As for Brian Cole Jr. of Virginia,
“Authorities have not yet determined a motive, a law enforcement official said. But the suspect has been linked to statements in support of anarchist ideology, said two people briefed on the arrest,” according to MS NOW.
Two sources who spoke with MS NOW also noted that the arrest was based on “a review the FBI conducted in recent weeks of evidence that had already been gathered and which the department had in its possession. The sources requested anonymity to speak freely about a sensitive case. That voluminous trove of material was largely collected in 2021 and 2022.”
And this is from MS NOW (c/o the Western Journal), which means they could not connect the accused to MAGA/ Trump, or a Republican (see below for why). That must have hurt. After what was likely years of conjecture that it had to be some crazy white Trump supporter, and no interest in any investigation to refute it, “Anarchist” is going to have to do.
Not to get off course, but ‘anarchists’ are technically right-wing, but then not really. While the absence of government is diametrically opposed to “everything in the state, nothing outside the state,” the result is nearly identical. Human nature abhors the vacuum that anarchy creates, leading to a similar, if not identical, problem. Strong man rule, beneath which is a tiny cabal of oligarchs who control everything.
There’s nothing right-wing (government with limited powers – maximal individual responsibility ‘ rights’) about the outcome. I therefore submit again that the result should define the ideological positioning. And yes, this affirms that Fascism is nearly as far left as Socialism, Marxist-Communism, because that’s where it belongs.
For now, they have a suspect in custody, and he may not exactly be just some anarchist.
Brian Cole Jr. was arrested yesterday morning by the FBI on suspicion of being the elusive J6 pipe bomber who left devices at the headquarters of the Republican and Democratic National Committees. He’s black, has leftist ties, and comes from a well-to-do family.
Not an angry liberal white woman, so that’s a thing. But at the same link, they report on how CNN’s Jake The Snake Tapper announced the suspect was white.
And it cannot be overlooked that the only reason we have a suspect is that Kash and Dan replaced the investigative team tasked with (presumably) discovering nothing under Biden. That happened, and it is, in fact, what broke the case wide open. Not the lack of evidence but effort.
Mr. Cole will presumably get his day in court, and the FBI and DOJ will get to share their evidence. We may have to wait for that, because there’s another thing that’s different about this Administration. Fewer leaks, especially when it comes to big moves.
I guess the early shots across the bow (charging leakers) combined with keeping information close to home, have kept much secret until they wanted us to know.
Impressive given how leaky Trump 1.0 was.
Lessons learned, but will it be enough to impress Americans into giving Trump two more years of clear runway for all the work he’s done and is doing (like finding the J6 bombers, locating tens of thousands of lost/trafficked children, ending wars, bringing jobs back, improving national security, and making sure America is respected and for good reasons).
