MACDONALD: The Big Flashlight on Failure

Losing high-profile elections that mean almost nothing to me is a gift. Low-hanging fruit for left-wing dummies who grasp at it in desperation, only to discover it’s rotten. Every Democrat who won last Tuesday is a poster child for why Donald Trump won last November.

They got a Jew-Hating Islamist Marxist who peddled every utopian lie in an election where the other viable candidate was a slutty Man Dem who actually killed grandma during COVID.

It’s all going to blow up; the only question is how soon, and will it be soon enough to show the world what happens to America if they don’t stop Democrats in the midterms.

In Virginia, which votes blue but for the Youngkin blip, Democrats elected this.

She will do more in a year to get moderates, independents, and couch-potato republicans to the polls in 2026 than anything the Republicans might attempt.

They also elected a guy in Virginia who tripled down on killing a Republican, his wife, and their kids. The party of violence narrative has a role model, not that Mamdani doesn’t fit that bill as well. [Related; Morning Update: About Those Elections, Tuesday]

In New Jersey, they voted for the Democrat, which only tells us Democrats can still elect Democrats in places where Democrats almost always win.

I suppose I should also remind everyone that the Republicans on tap last Tuesday were not exactly fans of Donald Trump, so nothing about this was a reflection on the MGA agenda, unless we let Democrats make it into one, which is not necessary to get their base to turn out in 2026. That’s a given. They will show up because they hate Trump. The Blue light special could be a murdering necrophiliac who kills children, then rapes them. That guy is getting Democrat votes.

Kurt Schlicter described Tuesday like this.

Tuesday night sucked.

But it didn’t super suck. While we lost everything, the end result was not a disaster of Obama 2012 proportions. Well, except for NYC, but they can live with that. The election was the equivalent of walking down a Scat Francisco sidewalk barefoot after a hobo chili cook-off, but it did not illustrate any great new truths that doom us in one year in the midterms. It illustrated old truths. It just sucked, and it’s important that we learn what we can from it and get ready for 2026.

That is what we were up against in 2024, and it is no different in any other election from now until eternity, but there’s a new wrinkle. Democrats are lining up to support failure in all its forms. Let them do it, then make them own it.

Make them own it the way Kamala had to own Biden.

And there’s motivation. The Left had it, we didn’t. Part of it is that our coalition includes people who came in because of Trump. Trump was not on the ballot, and the fact is that Trump is a huge motivation to the other side. Going into Virginia and New Jersey would have been a net loss, considering that so many of these blue degenerates have replaced faith and family with a bizarre hatred of the president and all of us who support him. The fact is that they will crawl over broken glass to vote against Trump, and too many of our folks just sort of shrugged.

We have to motivate our folks in 2026. We did not this time. We’ll have money. We have a growing alternative media. We also have Trump himself. But we have not cracked the code on turning our people out in an off-year, and the Democrats have.

What’s the motivation? I think Zorhan defined it, and we need to make sure Dems own it. I shared this in yesterday’s morning update.

No one who isn’t insane or doesn’t have TDS would want this kind of government. One that promises to pry into every corner of life, including yours, take it over, and “solve it.” When a Marxist tells you to believe them, and understand. If you object in any way to the second clause, “no concern too small for it to care about,” the big problem in the first clause is you. [Related: Morning Update: Mr. Mamdani’s Wild Ride]

You can pretend otherwise, but history has plenty of examples of what that means. Canceled, debanked, arrested, confined indefinitely without trial, or suicided.

There are no tolerant Democrat-Socialist governments on earth or in history, and you can reach back as recently as the Biden years for more evidence than you should need. Evidence that is not just proof that they will put a boot on your neck, but that they can’t fix an economy.

They sure know how to wreck one, or, perhaps, to be more fair, know how not to rebuild one that is wrecked. Obama failed so miserably that the (Dems and media) declared the malaise the new normal. Trump fixed it despite the all-out war against him, which included his own administration.

Biden failed almost as spectacularly.

If the issue is the economy, Democrats are the last party you want in power.

Will we have enough time to see how badly the new crop of “winners” suck? Maybe, maybe not, but we know who they are and what that means to regular, everyday Americans. But you have to sell that, and you can’t rely on any party to do it for you.
