A month into the Schumer Shutdown, and Democrats are still trying to distract you from how full of shit they are. Oh look, Trump is destroying the White House (with donor money), which was a super cool narrative that gave the internet an excuse to point out that most Presidents do something (Barry added an indoor Basketball Court that you paid for).
Next, the Dems whine about Trump’s Asia trip. How dare he run off and secure more than a trillion in new US investment and a handful of Rare Earth Minerals treaties critical to national defense and technology development? Let’s disregard how that gives us significant leverage we did not have as Trump strolls into a trade meeting with Xi and China. He should be here in DC because the government is shut down.
Democrats shut the government down, and only Congressional Democrats can open it. We need five of them to join the Republicans, the Dems, and an Independent who have repeatedly voted to open it. And once passed, Dems should have no problem with Mr. Trump signing the thing by autopen from wherever he is in the world, making it better for Americans back home.
Trump got more good things in one weekend than Biden’s puppet masters did in four years. And that’s just one of many America-First weekends for the Trump Administration. Democrats, under Biden and after, can’t point to any of those, but there are plenty of Democrat Party America-last examples.
Let’s take health care.
There is almost nothing about the so-called ObamaCare bailout they demand before opening the government that helps regular Americans. It helps those committing fraud, and illegal aliens, including drug and human traffickers, if the cartels they work for don’t offer insurance benefits.
They are, however, demanding that aid to rural hospitals totaling 50 billion dollars be ended. My state, as small as it is, has a lot of rural areas, and would stand to benefit from the money New Hampshire’s all Democrat federal delegation would like to take from them before reopening the government.
The only “health care” interests that might benefit from that are the Hospital Cartels, who probably lobbied the Dems to get the funding yanked. They don’t like competition for patients or federal gimmes.
By holding the government hostage, Democrats are affecting health care today for real people, who not only gain nothing but stand to lose from their extortion demands. How does holding low-income women and children hostage to pass a change that would let EVs use the carpool lane help their health care? Food heals, right -I’ve heard that somewhere.
There are plenty of other examples, not the least of which is the hypocrisy we shared in the morning update. Under Biden, the Democrats voted to pass thirteen clean CRs to keep the government running so legislators could discuss and debate spending bills. But they need all this other crap now, or no one works or gets paid.
I’m OK with the shutdown, by the way. I think it provides an opportunity to see what the Feds do that the states should do to prevent these hostage situations. It also shows us who runs the Dem party (the psychos) and what that party really cares about, and it’s not Americans.
