MACDONALD: Holding The Government Hostage to Fund Fraud

Nothing would be quite so sweet as the likelihood that the “health care crisis” Senate Dems are holding the government hostage to address isn’t about health care at all. That those ObamaCare subsidies they are fighting to renew outside regular order are COVID-Era bailouts to the Medical industrial complex.

The Democrats have named their price to end the government shutdown — an additional $350 billion for health care over the next decade. Critics say a big chunk of that money may go to ghosts. …

Some analysts believe the numbers indicate rampant fraud. Blase claimed in a letter to the Wall Street Journal that the expansion has created an explosion of phantom patients — including 6.4 million of them so far in 2025. “The problem isn’t real people with coverage they don’t use — it’s fraudulent sign-ups who never should have been subsidized,” he wrote.

Haislmaier agreed. “We don’t have an exact number for how many people might be fake. I don’t think anyone does,” he said. “What we do have is a lot of circumstantial evidence, a lot of data points, and a lot of information about how the markets have always operated to suggest there is massive fraud here.”

Who didn’t try to defraud the slipshod, poorly managed, massive influx of debt-accumulating handouts during COVID? That’s the question we should ask. Billions flowed from your grandchildren’s debt service into the pockets of medical conglomerates. The fraud began with declaring everyone as having COVID (payout), putting them on a ventilator (payout), and claiming they died from COVID (more money).

The approved treatment protocol that made no sense killed many who might have lived, and Hospitals cashed in.

Medicaid and Medicare are rife with fraud. So too, Social Security, food stamps, every instance of taxpayer-backed largesse is abused, and ObamaCare is no different – and some of that is built in.

Why, for example, are families earning 160,000.00 a year, eligible for coverage at reduced rates, paid for by taxpayers? Because Democrats want national health care. That’s why. The economics make no sense or difference. That was always the plan.

How is it that in 2024, 12 million ObamaCare enrollees didn’t use the coverage you pay for to file a single claim – “no doctor visit, lab test, or prescription filled.” As sick as we are, that seems odd.

CMS found in July that 2.8 million Americans were potentially enrolled “concurrently” in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Plan in more than one state, or on one of those federal programs plus the Obamacare exchange, resulting in inexplicable overlaps that could cost taxpayers $14 billion a year.

Dems don’t even want to talk about the waste, fraud, and abuse. It’s the price they expect you to pay to support their trust in a system rife with it. A system that rewards the campaign pockets of elected officials who keep the gravy pouring.

It seems like common sense to step back and say, “Stop.” We have an obligation to investigate this and (at the very least) implement measures to protect taxpayers.

Democrats decided it was a better idea to hold the government hostage and ram through funding instead.
