When it comes to the Left, they can be as ignorant with their mouths as they are with their feet and fists. An example is the idiot who ran through a display of flowers, candles, and pictures at a Charlie Kirk memorial until he was face-planted into the sidewalk and held by a Kirk supporter until the police cuffed him.
It is not a case of young, indoctrinated adolescents looking for attention and clicks by posting inappropriate thoughts. It is professionals, teachers, and educators. It is the 20,000 names, profiles, work details, and ignorant posts that a conservative put together to expose the social offenders. It is politicians like Ilhan Omar, Jazmine Crockett, and even Barack Obama who have violated the social norms of grief.
One of the most deplorable acts was when Speaker Johnson called for a moment of silence on the House floor and was met with jeers and catcalls from the Democrats in attendance. These disrespectful and immature representatives could not be satisfied with remaining quiet during a peaceful moment; they had to protest the act actively. These are the people who will deny it all day long, but they are setting an example for the impressionable, like the Utah sniper, and are stimulating violence.
On the other hand, supporters of Charlie Kirk gathered in every corner of the globe to mourn and celebrate their mentor in peaceful remembrance. That is not a hyperbole, as there were marches or gatherings in England, South Africa, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. There were also reports from churches everywhere of record attendance. Every category of young people, except Gen Z, is showing a new desire to connect with Jesus Christ. With 37,000 new applications for Turning Point USA chapters worldwide, they are not just showing up; they are ready to be part of the process.
This story is not like any other we have seen in recent times. It has life and legs, and is growing stronger, rather than fading away. It is dominating FOX News and Business in a positive light, and the mainstream is managing to find people like Cornel West, who will say anything to get his face on TV, and has no problem going negative just to be relevant. There is no indication of change as we head into the weekend and the Sunday memorial.
Turning Point USA, the political organization Kirk co-founded, announced over the weekend that Kirk’s memorial service will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, September 21.
With a capacity of over 73,000, and with more seats likely to be added to the field area, it will be one of the largest public funerals ever held. There will not be an empty seat, nor a dry eye in the stadium, as Charlie’s friends and supporters give him the final goodbye he deserves.
