CARDELLO: Democrats Could Learn From Kennedy And Gabbard

One of the biggest impediments to unifying this country and having both sides working together to make America great again is Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). TDS is a terminal disease that forces Democrats to see everything that Donald Trump says and does, not only wrong or evil, but also racist and Hitler-like. TDS also never allows a Democrat to stray from their Party’s stand, but will penalize and possibly ostracise you for such deviance.

TDS places complete control over its victims in the hands of the Pelosis, Schumers, Jeffries, Warrens, and Sanders of the Party. Free speech and thought are not allowed with TDS. There are some great examples of Democrats who escaped, or were rejected by the Democrats, before contracting TDS, and who have not only flourished, but have been significant contributors to the Trump administration. They are shining examples of what could be if we find a cure for TDS.

The Kennedy family has been the closest America has to a royal family. To be a Kennedy is to be a Democrat. John, Bobby, and even Ted set the bar very high for the future generations of Kennedys. But what happens when the Democratic Party rejects a member of the Kennedy family? That Kennedy has to move to the Independent middle lane, or God forbid, join the Republicans, which is the story of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s rise to prominence. RFKJ, the son of Bobby Kennedy, tried in vain to run for the President of the United States in 2024.

The Democratic Party would not allow him to run in a primary against Joe Biden or to appear on the Democratic ballot. RFKJ was considered toxic by the Party; he floundered as an Independent until Donald Trump threw him a lifeline. Trump offered Kennedy a position in his cabinet and a platform to promote public health initiatives in America, which had led to Kennedy’s expulsion from his Party, in exchange for ending his race and joining forces with Trump. Kennedy took the leap of faith, and the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement was born.

Trump unleashed RFKJ and has been rewarded with outstanding advances by Kennedy, but also with his loyalty. The Democrats are trying to drive a wedge between Kennedy and Trump by floating the notion that Kennedy will run for President in 2028 against Trump’s successor. Kennedy has gone to X to deny these lies and to reinforce his allegiance to Trump. He also went on to say:

Kennedy’s post also addressed the work he and his team are doing under the Trump administration. “President Trump is delivering on every promise beyond my wildest dreams — ending war, protecting free speech, rebuilding American industry and the American middle class, delivering transparency and gold-standard science, and breaking the grip of entrenched interests,” Kennedy wrote.

“The President has made himself the answer to my 20-year prayer that God would put me in a position to end the chronic disease epidemic — and that’s exactly what my team and I will do until the day he leaves office.”

Kennedy understands the incredible opportunity afforded him by Trump, and all he had to do was cross the great divide and join the dreaded Trump team. Tulsi Gabbard took a similar path to Kennedy’s, and Elon Musk, a solid Democrat, played an integral part in Trump’s 2024 win.
