MacDonald: Climate Dread Isn’t Dead

One of the narratives that circulates among eco-cultists is the pervasive fear that we’ve broken the planet and are doomed. It’s not true, but they’ve heard it so many times that its constant consumption has become part of their person. Their reality hinges on this lie being true. It is cultish, and why the movement long ago transcended from a field of science to one of faith—climate religion.

They’ve got their good book and hymnal (though nothing about “climate change” changes as quickly as the so-called settled science). They know when to sit, kneel, or genuflect, and the greenwashers keep them riled up to ensure the grift can continue. Globally, however, no one views ‘Climate Change’ as a significant problem. It’s one of those narratives, like gender bending. If everyone stopped talking about it, it would go away. There’d be no there-there because there never was.

Two-thirds of everyone everywhere still fails to prioritize the so-called problem of climate change.

[T]he topic of climate change has still not reached the top of the agenda for many people, as data from Statista Consumer Insights shows. Respondents in none of the 21 nations covered by the survey collectively rated climate change as the most important problem for their own country when asked to name the issues that were of the biggest significance to them.

I should note that the issue has managed to creep up in interest from years gone by. It used to be you wouldn’t find it in the top ten on anyone’s list of things that mattered. So, kudos to the fearmongers for the slight improvement, but the issue continues to lag significantly at a time when the momentum is headed in the opposite direction.

The Trump Administration is dismantling America’s climate cult machine from grants to government entities peddling the hogwash. A house cleaning that appears intent on being so thorough as to make it difficult to impossible to reestablish for years to come.

We can only hope, but the money laundering associated with the enterprise is significant. Short of criminal charges that stick, potential beneficiaries of the graft will bide their time, hoping that the troughs will be rebuilt so the pigs can feed.
