Cardello: Proud To Be A Conservative Patriot And I Will Not Apologize

I will not stereotype or cast all Progressives in one basket, ala Hillary. Still, it is becoming crystal clear that the Left is fixated on destroying our country as we know it and condemning anyone not on their side. I have no issue with debating policy differences, but that does not appear to be an option in our divided country. The visions are no longer close enough for compromise. It now comes down to who is in power to get bills passed without the help of crossover votes.

The biggest issue I have with the current climate is the way each side views the other. We on the Right do not align with beliefs that are anti-capitalism, Socialist over Democracy, worldview over nationalism, equity over equality, and Constitutional protection for any man or woman in this country illegally, while disregarding the rights of Americans. The Left doesn’t just look down on the Right with scorn or disdain because of the difference, but they protest, assault, and riot to get their message across. They demean us in their talking points and get the media to echo their thoughts.

An example is a recent article in The Atlantic where the author called all on the Right “morally numb.” I’m not sure if that’s better or worse than deplorables. The Right has to drop the gloves and start swinging back. It is the only language the Left comprehends.

I have had it with being insulted for being a Conservative and a Patriot. We love this country and hold onto the belief it can still exist as designed by our forefathers. I believe in borders and sovereignty. I believe that people who break into our country have broken the law and should be immediately deported. I do not believe they have the same rights as citizens, nor should we be required to pay for their legal defense.

I think that you are born a man or a woman by God’s design and parents’ chemistry, and that you do not have the right to trans to the other gender as a child. There should be one day for voting using a paper ballot and a No. 2 pencil. You should have to show ID to vote, and college students must vote in their hometown. All politicians should have term limits, and no member of Congress is entitled to a lifetime pension. The President is in charge of the executive branch and the security of the nation, and no judge should be allowed to force him to cease.

I accept that we cannot, and should not, trust politicians, but that we should have a way of holding them accountable when they do stray. I do believe Republicans are more in tune with protecting America, and that Democrats have an agenda far removed from Americans. I will no longer stand by and take the hits. I will use my platform to strike back and with greater rancor. I will always be proud to be a Conservative and will be one to my grave.
