In the days after the tragic natural disaster in Texas, which claimed nearly 100 lives, with many still missing, we are beginning to hear the heart wrenching stories as well as those of tremendous heroism that lift our hearts. We have heard about the young girls writing their names on their arms in case someone needed to identify them, and the two sisters who went into the water holding hands and were still holding hands when they got to heaven. Their young bodies were recovered with their fingers still entwined. We heard about the young counselors, still children themselves, saving dozens of campers by maintaining their cool heads and acting like the heroes they are. We heard about the young Coast Guard helicopter pilot who was one of the first responders and personally rescued over 175 campers. In a moment of need, most Americans rise to the occasion. Unfortunately, there are always those who fall short when their fellow man needs them.
I have to tune out for a bit as there is only so much of this story you can handle, but there will be many more stories to come about the best of humanity brought about by the worst of Mother Nature. Unfortunately, while President Trump and Texas Governor Abbott are calling for Americans to pray for those lost, and the possibility that some missing may still be alive, we also have to hear stories from the swill of humanity.
While every person with a modicum of common sense and decency recognizes that this is a once-in-a-lifetime tragedy and an act of God, with no one to blame, the disgusting, heartless Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has to show the world how low he can stoop and openly blame President Donald Trump for the deaths of the victims of the Sunday morning flood. Maybe TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) is similar to Tourette’s, and it forces you to blurt out mindless, irrational statements that perhaps you will regret when you later hear them on the nightly news. If TDS were an actual disease, Schumer could use that excuse, but unfortunately for him, TDS only exists in the minds of actual Trump haters, and Schumer must be held accountable for his stupidity.
This lack of class is not the first for Chuck. We can all remember him standing on the steps of the Supreme Court, threatening the lives of the conservative Justices after they had overturned Roe v. Wade. He was making these threats as morons were protesting outside the homes of these justices and one had attempted to assasinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his home. Unfortunately for Chuck Schumer, he flaps his lips first, then pushes his glasses off the tip of his nose, and then engages his mind, or maybe TDS is real and in Chuck’s case, fatal.
Schumer was insinuating that it was Trump and DOGE’s cuts in the US Weather Service that prevented adequate warnings for the people on the banks of the Guadalupe River. But every local bureau in Texas was fully staffed and prepared to do their jobs. It is Schumer who is ill-prepared for his job. Dozens of parents are still waiting, hoping, and praying for a miracle that their young daughter may be found alive. Every American should join these parents in prayer, but all Chuck Schumer has to offer is unfounded accusations and hatred. This example is but one example of why Chuck Schumer is no longer relevant in American politics.
