There are some topics that you think would garner unanimous acceptance. You might think that a young boy who survived over a dozen brain surgeries to beat cancer and who dreams of being a cop or a young girl who survived an injury on the volleyball court but may suffer the effects for a lifetime would pull on the heartstrings of everyone. You would be wrong.
These two people were the President’s guests at his Congress speech this week. They were applauded and celebrated by every Republican standing and cheering their success, while on the other side of the room, the Democrats sat on their hands in complete ambivalence. The liberal media took it a step further and said the presence of the two in the People’s House was disgusting. Disgusting is a harsh word, but it is appropriate to describe the Democrats behavior of late.
The parents and spouses of people senselessly killed by illegal criminal aliens were honored by the President and recognized with applause by every Republican. At the same time, the Democrats sat quietly, held signs, or checked their text messages. The extent of the divide between the two sides of this country is unfathomable and indefensible. These are not just callous men but women sitting on their hands. These women cannot define the word woman, but they will tell you until they are blue in the face that they are the Party of Women. Their actions tell a different story. These women and men do not care about any gender, color, or creed except for donors. Power is their addiction, and they only care about the face in the mirror. Sadly, they still get 50% of America to believe in them. That speaks volumes for that half of the country. Ignorant, naive ideologues who believe the rhetoric as if they are at an early revival with Billy Graham. The only difference is that Graham was speaking the truth. The Democrats have no idea what the truth is.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, the legislatures of Maine and New Hampshire have silenced women as if this is 1825 or 1925. Representative Laurel Libby was censured in Maine by a gay Speaker who had an issue with Libby speaking out about trans women participating in girls’ athletics. Common sense tells us that integrating trans women with girls is dangerous, but supporting the mutilation of young children is more important than the safety of young women. Libby can return to the House when she bends a knee and apologizes to the Speaker.
In New Hampshire, Representative Erica Layon addressed the House during open comments to address Women’s History Month and how women are still oppressed. The speech should have garnered unanimous support, but not for the four Democrat women who rose up to shut Layon down. Four women marched to the well of the House to shut down a woman speaking up about women’s rights and the progress still to be made. Layon was allowed to finish her speech by a two-thirds vote, but the damage had been done. The Democrats are so far off course that female Democrats can abandon women for the sake of WOKE ideology. You cannot make this up, but the Democrats will have to live with this in the midterms. It’s a beautiful thing.
