We all know that one of the swamp’s most high-profile ‘revolving doors’ is the former-government-official-to-cable-news-talking-head.
Whether it’s ex-spooks gracing CNN panels as “national security analysts” or former White House press secretary Jen Psaki landing her own show on MSNBC, the pipeline is not only lucrative but also the most blatant example of how the swamp and D.C. media reward each other’s failures. Speaking of MSNBC and people who were bad at their jobs, one potential candidate to replace the recently fired Joy Reid poked her head out of the sand, albeit briefly.
Ex-Biden flack Karine Jean-Pierre emerged, for what seemed like the first time in a long time, at a Harvard Kennedy School event on Wednesday. Instead of hinting at her next career move, KJP said she has cut off the news to focus on “self-care” and her daughter — and honestly, good for her.

“The last time I watched the news was [on] January 20 when I was at the White House. I have not watched the news,” KJP said. “I have really tried to focus on self-care, I’ve really tried to focus on my daughter, I have a 10-year-old.”
“I have deprogrammed myself so that I can be a civilian again. I used to wake up at 4:30 in the morning, like that was my schedule every day for 4 years, and I thought that when I stepped away from the lectern, the podium, that I would have this adrenaline … but I have not missed it at all,” she went on to say.
If there was ever a replacement for Reid, it would be KJP, a cringe DEI-obsessive who checks all the right boxes: black, lesbian, and brainless.
Nevertheless, MSNBC, shockingly, hasn’t even considered KJP for the open anchor spot, instead opting to temporarily replace Reid with a trio of rotating hosts: Symone Sanders, Michael Steele, and Alicia Menendez, the daughter of disgraced New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez.
Why not KJP? If we were to believe the hysterical liberal pundits who claimed that Reid’s firing was a result of racism at the network, then MSNBC isn’t going anywhere near KJP because of her skin color. But, as we know, that’s absurd because Sanders and Steele are both black.
The likely reason is that, although cable networks love to reward former Democratic officials who’ve failed upward, even MSNBC executives know that KJP was so bad at her job behind the White House podium, so incompetent, handing her a primetime slot would be like giving a 16-year-old girl with a driver’s permit the keys to a Ferrari. Unmitigated disaster.
