Trump DOJ Is Already Suing Sanctuary Cities

Newly Confirmed US Attorney General Pam Bondi isn’t wasting any time enforcing existing immigration law. Her DOJ has paused all funding for 60 days to any sanctuary city or county, pending review.

In other words, if Congress passed the law and your plucky berg isn’t following it – especially immigration law – the DOJ will not be granting any federal dollars for law enforcement. This sparked a flurry of lawsuits in Trump’s first term so expect more of that, but not before Bondi’s DOJ files a few of its own.

“Not only did we sue the city of Chicago, we sued the state of Illinois, we sued the mayor, we sued the governor…”

We knew this was coming. One of the President’s early Executive Orders clarified that if you are breaking immigration law, you’re gonna get sued.

“Federal law prohibits state and local actors from resisting, obstructing, and otherwise failing to comply with lawful immigration-related commands or requests,” the memo states, raising the possibility of charges for harboring immigrants without legal status or for failing to share information with immigration authorities.

That sets the stage for possible legal action against local officials in so-called sanctuary cities and states that limit their cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The massive cleanup in Aisle ‘America’ has gone well and quickly. And Trump’s administration is racking up quick wins with Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Columbia, El Salvador, Panama, with some initial progress in the Middle East as well. The administration is at the end of week three and the pedal is still to the metal.

Democrats have managed to demonstrate their devotion to an unaccountable bureaucracy that is demonstrably corrupt and wasting hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars annually. Their only other locus to date are the usual suspects; hate and lies, outrage and protest – bordering on actual insurrection.

It has always been against the law to incite violence. It is one of the few things the First Amendment does not protect. Encouraging violent rebellion can get you arrested, indicted, and jailed. Even if a few of these Dems deserve that, I’d rather it not come to it, but the troglodytes like using power to teach lessons, so perhaps they should expect some of the same.

I’m sure they are hoping for exactly that. Look, the tyrant Trump is locking up political opponents.

We have another 205 weeks of the Trump Presidency to go, and they will go by quickly. Not so fast for some, faster for others. But Trump isn’t trying to get his feet underneath him this time around. He’s coming in hard and fast and desperate Democrats still don’t have a real leader or a message.

Running against Trump’s mandate isn’t going to be enough. It’ll likely keep the Dems in the minority, but let’s not take any chances. And go Pam Bondi – as long as you’re following the actual law. We don’t want any Biden Admin 2.0 hijinks.
