Mark Cuban is a man who has far more money than smarts. He is used to having his foot in his mouth, but because he is a brash billionaire, he could care less about what the everyday American thinks about him or his ill-thought words. Cuban made one of the most ridiculous comments of the 2024 campaign and may be the best example of projection.
Mark Cuban, a supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris, is being ripped by many after saying the former president is never surrounded by “strong, intelligent women.” Cuban quickly apologized, but the toothpaste was out of the tube. With those few words, Mark Cuban set off a firestorm amongst conservative women and men alike. Starting with his wife, Melania, you can look at the strong, powerful women in his family. Ivanka, Laura, Tiffany, and Kimberly Guilfoyle are a foursome that Cuban could never match up against.
Then, you can dig into the Cabinet and staff and find a treasure trove of talented women, starting with Susie Wiles. You won’t find many spots as crucial as Chief of Staff. Wiles is known as a behind-the-scenes introvert, but nobody doubts she will be a formidable gate-keeper for Trump. Pam Bondi is Trump’s second pick for Attorney General after Matt Gaetz withdrew, and she will be a tough administrator getting weaponization out of Justice. Still, she has already proven herself tough on illegal immigration in Florida.
She will be the youngest Press Secretary, but it will be refreshing to have Karoline Leavitt at the podium after Karine Jean-Pierre. Though she is only 27, Karoline is mature and smarter than her age and will not rely on lies or a scrapbook for answers.
Tulsi Gabbard will face a difficult confirmation hearing, but this new member of the Republican Party will be up for the battle. She has already been field-tested in the Middle East as a member of the Guard. The Right cannot wait for her to clean out and give direction to the Intelligence Community.
In all, there are ten women, or 25% of the 40 Trump appointments. This says a lot from both sides. Trump has no problem appointing women to key positions generally held by men. On the flip side, with so much written about how horribly Trump treats women, we have ten eager to serve on his staff.
As usual, the Left is underestimating Trump and are too busy building speed bumps to hinder his transition. We need the new Republican majority in the Senate to be unified under new Majority Leader, Thune (R-SD) will be tested as to whether he can keep the 53 majority votes in line to get Trump off and running with a confirmed staff.
Unlike Biden, Trump has gone for intelligence and experience over a diverse and feckless administration. We on the Right cannot wait for January 20 to get Trump sworn in and get his appointments confirmed. Trump and Vance have made many promises that his followers expect to be kept. It will be a fun four years to follow and write about, and best of luck to his team to keep up with Trump.
