You’ve heard the story about the fifty-one intelligence experts who meddled in the 2020 election. They lied about the laptop the FBI, and likely most of them knew was all Hunter and Biden, as was the campaign ending dirt betwixt the hookers and blow, but claimed it smelled of Russian Dezinformatsiya.
When it was safe to come out of the basement, everyone all but admitted it was legit after all, but the electors had long since been counted, and Congress had confirmed. Like it or not, Joe was the new president with dogs biting Secret Service Agents, boxes of illegally classified documents (at home, work, and with ghostwriters), Afghan withdrawals, and some mysterious white powder in the West Wing.
Teleport forward to October 2024, and twenty-three Nobel prize-winning economists have announced that Kamal’s economic plan is vastly superior to Trump’s. First question: Can we see it because the public-facing and anecdotal evidence suggests more of what we’ve got now? Kamala is behind the past four years and wouldn’t change a thing.
Better? Vastly better?
In their brief note, the far-left, letter-signing economists claimed —without evidence!— that Kamala’s economic plan is “vastly superior” to Trump’s economic plan. I’m not sure they read either plan. For one thing, they cited the worst possible part of Kamala’s plan to make their point. Just wait.
Before we get to that, neither the letter (nor CNN) addressed the economic elephant in the room: both politicians were in office for four years! We don’t have to guess! We can just look at what each candidate did while they were in office. Trump wins hands down in the Real World™ (see previous story about home sales). But these economists live in Marxist-fantasy virtual reality, where pink-horned unicorns trot on highways made of rainbow-colored candy ribbon.
Credibility meets credulity. Institutions, the things the Democrats want to protect when they use the word ‘Democracy,’ are at historic lows in trustworthiness. Nobel is not excluded, so its economists aren’t likely to carry water for anyone who isn’t already looking for an excuse to justify four more years of what we have now but worse. And we know that to be true.
Barry Obama, Lightbringer, never got the economy moving the way Trump did and then insisted his stagnation was the new normal. He then tried to take credit when his predecessor exposed that lie. What Obama, most Democrats, Biden, and especially Kamala (and 23 Nobel economists) fail to understand is that the US economy moves as much on faith as process. The party of Kamala bashes the nation, its history, and its people. It punished success without grasping how that throttles efforts to achieve it.
Even slaves lose motivation under that sort of constant abuse.
So, you could tell us how you plan to move the deck chairs around on this Titanic (they aren’t even doing that), but people without hope aren’t lifting anything for anyone, especially for an oppressive, intolerant government that thinks getting in the way, and higher taxes are what make an economy strong.
