Did Trump Funnel His Inner Biden

Donald Trump let us down last night. Republicans had such high hopes that Trump would take Kamala Harris out of the Presidential race as he did with Joe Biden. Trump exposed what we all knew about President Biden. Biden came away from their debate as a senile, bumbling man who was being hidden from the American people by every Democrat.

On Tuesday, we hoped Kamala would come to Philly and show America her cackling persona and word salad repertoire. She did neither. With the help of ABC, Kamala Harris pulled off a modern-day miracle. This incompetent woman, who cannot define herself, put Trump on the defensive for the entire 90-minute debate. With the help of unchecked lies, Kamala created a fantasy for viewers about the former President, and with polished, rehearsed responses, she came off as the more presidential of the debaters. It was almost like ABC gave her a list of the questions to help prepare. Unfortunately, this debate was a three-on-one battle. The cards were stacked against Donald Trump, and he fell into every trap.

We all knew this debate on ABC would not be a fair fight, and the fact-checking alone proved the bias we feared. President Trump was fact-checked five times to zero for the Vice President, though her lies were blatant. Harris referenced Project 2025 twice and the violence in Charlottesville, yet though both had been debunked, the moderators chose not to intercede. This disparity shows the collusion between the mainstream media and the Democrats.

Even though the contest was rigged, Trump has no excuse for his poor performance. He was repetitive and often stuck to his talk track on the border crisis when the question was on a different topic. He had many opportunities to attack Harris for her individual performance as Vice President and the overall debacle of the Biden/Harris administration.

Elegant, classy, and joyful were some of the superlatives used by the legacy media as they gushed about the VP’s performance. “The best debate performance ever” were some of the embarrassing comments, but this is the rhetoric the public, especially the Left, hears. This is the uphill battle Trump/Vance will face in the next 55 days. The clock is ticking, and Trump cannot afford another fiasco that he served up last night.

The spotlight now moves to JD Vance. He is a far more polished debater and communicator. He should be able to score points on Tim Walz. Walz has to convince voters that a radical, progressive governor from Minnesota is the right partner for a San Francisco Liberal candidate who wants to convince the country that she is a moderate. I was disappointed and discouraged by Trump last night, but I have high expectations for Vance. Should he fail, we best get prepared for a heavy dose of Socialism for the next four years. With the inflation, new taxes, and lousy economy a Harris/Walz team will give us, we best start looking for a second job.
