Shortly after that mask the media and Democrats had placed over Joe Biden’s dementia slipped, the left went all in on connecting Project 2025 to Donald Trump. I noticed it in the meme world first, but I had no idea what it was. Neither did Donald Trump.

Project 2025, a non-partisan transition plan started by the Heritage Foundation two years ago, has attracted support from more than 100 “conservative” groups or organizations. None of them is Donald Trump. But the radical left clingers, seeing June 27th as the end of Biden and a future Democrat presidency as an excuse to portray Project 2025 as a backward, fascist, religious terror campaign against “the democracy,” whose future promised a return to the (2020 imagery) of red-robed women from the Handmaidens Tale.
The Harris campaign proceeded to do what Demcorats alwasy do. It lied about it being Trump’s. It lied about Trump’s agenda being Project 2025, and it lied about what Project 2025 actually says. There’s nothing weird about that, but this is. CNN actually fact-checked the Harris Campaign claims and then reported the truth.
BREAKING: A campaign official for Vice President Harris ADMITTED to CNN that her campaign is deliberately choosing to lie about Project 2025. “A Harris campaign official said the campaign has “made a deliberate decision to brand all of Trump’s policies” as “Project 2025,” since they believe “it has stuck with voters.”
Neither Project 2025 nor The Heritage Foundation have called specifically for IEPs to be eliminated. Project 2025 would, however, change how federal funds for IEPs are distributed and allow parents to put that money into savings accounts or use it for private schools.

Project 2025 is a political playbook created by the Heritage Foundation and dozens of other conservative groups, not Trump, who said he disagrees with elements of the effort.
There are likely others, but two things will continue to be true. The lies and false associations will continue because they feel it works to their advantage. The media will forget that for a few brief moments during the summer of 2024, it almost practiced journalism, reverting to calling us liars for linking Harris to all of Biden’s bad policies instead of calling her campaign out for actual falsehood.
There is nothing new here, but the slip of this other mask—someone admitting the Harris campaign was deliberately deceptive—is surprising and may have to be memory-holed. Let’s not lt them get away with that.
