Biden Not Resigning But He Has Dropped Out of 2024 Race [Update 3]

As predicted by Mark Halprin a few days ago and reported by us here, Biden will drop out by Sunday. And so he has. National Review reporting.

Biden posted a statement on X, declaring his intention to drop out of the presidential race after seemingly having decided that he is not the Democratic Party’s best candidate to defeat former president Donald Trump this November. He did not endorse a replacement to top the presidential ticket.

More details to follow, including the tweet, which I couldn’t find in time to share at publication.

Added: 2:40 PM ET – The Tweet!

Update 1: Bill and Hillary Clinton have endorsed … Kamala Harris to replace Biden.

If the feud between the Obamas and the Clintons is still alive and well, I think the Clintons have chosen poorly.

Update 2: 3:30 PM ET Reports that Biden would not endorse a replacement are false. He, too, has sided with his train wreck of a Cackaling VP.

President Joe Biden has thrown his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris to become the next Democratic nominee for president after announcing Sunday he is dropping out of the race.

Should Harris officially become the party’s standard-bearer, she would be the first Black woman and first Asian American to lead the ticket of a major political party.

My response. Yes, please.

The response from the Obama camp is still not known, and now it is (sort of – it’s not Kamala).

Update 35:30PM ET

“It’s a testament to Joe Biden’s love of country — and a historic example of a genuine public servant once again putting the interests of the American people ahead of his own that future generations of leaders will do well to follow,” Obama said.

Obama expressed confidence in Democratic leaders’ ability to “create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges” but pointedly declined to endorse Harris.

I was speaking to my wife about all of this, reminding her that the Clintons and Obams do not like each other. Enemies keep each other close, but the Clintons never cared for Obama taking the party from them, and the Clintons never forgot.

Whoever Obama backs, it won’t be Kamala; she’s too weak and incapable of even being a proper puppet; it will provide excellent viewing as the party of unity try to by each other off on the way to a nomination.
