House Judiciary Votes on Impeachment Protocols

Less than 48 hours ago, the US House Judiciary Committee voted to pass three gun control bills on to the full House of Representatives.  Today, they’re voting on the impeachment proceedings of the President of the United States.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) was outspoken two days ago. Today he’s outspoken again.

Today, the Judiciary Committee adopted the rules for the Impeachment Inquiry, a partisan vote of 24-17. The Resolution does nothing of significance except signal to the left that they’re doing something!

Under the resolution, which does not need to be approved by the full House, Nadler can designate hearings run by the full committee and its subcommittees as part of the impeachment investigation. The committee’s lawyers are also able to question witnesses for an additional hour beyond the five minutes that are allotted to each member of Congress on the panel.

Rep. Doug Collins, the Ranking Republican on the Judiciary Committee, said “The Judiciary Committee has become a giant Instagram filter.” He says the Resolution didn’t allow Chairman Nadler to do anything he isn’t already authorized to do.

So far we have seen zero ‘high crimes or misdemeanors’ from the President. Zero evidence of them. Even Bob Mueller acknowledged that, as did Jim Comey.

Of course Democrats won’t let go of impeachment. That’s because ‘Orange Man Bad’, and they still haven’t gotten over the fact that Trump is their President. Next Tuesday, NH’s Corey Lewandowski is set to testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee. That should make for some good C-SPAN and a couple headlines, no doubt.
