Palate Cleanser – Lego Robot paper airplane maker and launcher

Just cool: “Sacek was hired by Elevation Digital Media in collaboration with Arrow Electronics to design and build this autonomous paper airplane factory, which is controlled by multiple Lego Mindstorms intelligent bricks, and quite a bit of custom code. It’s not the first Lego paper airplane machine we’ve seen, but Sacek’s design looks far more … Read more

What, John E. Sununu, WE’RE not your most “Right wing extremist blog”? We’ve failed you!

After all John, John Kasich has said the following:

“Isn’t that interesting,” Kasich said as the crowd around her gasped. However, without mentioning his political allegiance or correcting the voter, Kasich went on to position himself as a good compromise between Sanders and Clinton saying, “One of them’s too hot, one of them’s too cold, but I’ve got the right temperature.”

And:

On February 5, while talking to a Democratic voter in New Hampshire, the Ohio governor exclaimed, “I ought to be running in a Democrat primary. I got more Democrats for me — you have any Republican friends?”

Really!  This is what one wants to hear from a Republican self-avowing being a conservative?  To position themselves between a self-avowed Socialist (and as people dig, more a Communist than a Socialist) and a Saul Alinsky accolyte (also a Socialist, just more discrete about it)?  What kind of a Conservative is that?  And then John Jr. gets upset (H/T: another RedState) when Kasich is called on it?

“Just now on CNN, Kasich surrogate John Sununu, Jr. was asked about why conservatives do not like John Kasich. He started rattling off some talking points, then host Carol Costello dropped two separate RedState quotes on him. He didn’t seem to enjoy the experience very much.”

Let’s add this to the bonfire:

Palate Cleanser – This is for Ed Naile

Ed is a Grokster but more importantly, as Chair of CNHT, he fights for NH taxpayers in kinds of ways – including Voter Fraud.  But he is a professional arborist and stages the Stihl sponsored Lumberjack competitions.  When I saw this, I immediately thought of Ed KNOWING he could be doing this breakdown in his … Read more

And is Papa Sununu ruing his new words?

Remember he said: I have no feeling for the electorate anymore. It is not responding the way it used to. Their priorities are so different that if I tried to analyze it I’d be making it up. Add to it, this which was said before yesterday’s NH Primary: GOPe Hack Sununu: “If Trump Only Wins … Read more

GrokTV: PBS News Hour interviews Grokster Steve

This past Saturday we had Lisa Dejardines on GrokTALK! – it wasn’t clear to me at the start what we were supposed to talk about but it sure was a lot of fun and on some deep issues (we’ve asked her to come back if her Bosses will let her).  However, the main reason she was in studio was to do an interview with Steve which will run during the NH First In The Nation Primary this Tuesday.

UPDATE: we held this post until PBS could run their tonite.  That has now aired.

Take a listen – I think it was a very well done interview on both sides of the camera.  Unsure how much time he will have during the actual piece but in staying with my mantra of “video everything” (especially with journalists), here is the uncut video from the entire time (just split into two pieces – all material is there).

GrokTV: PBS News Hour interviews Grokster Steve – The PBS News Hour version

I previously posted the full interview that Lisa Dejardins, Political Director for the PBS News Hour, conducted with Steve.  Her piece, talking about the different factions within the NH GOP in the run up to today’s primary, is here.  Steve’s interview, quite short, starts with some B-roll on the front end that they shot during … Read more

Project Veritas – doing the Voter Fraud investigations our elections and law enforcement folks refuse to do?

Yup, those jolly jesters of the “poke them in their political eyes” genre of investigative journalism have done it again.  Here.  In New Hampshire.  During the First In the Nation Primary.  Did I mention “Again”?  Yep, James O’Keefe and his compatriots are showing us, once again, that the “thing that cannot happen here in NH” actually can be done thanks to clueless (or better put, hyper-partisan) election officials more excited about helping “their side” than protecting The Rule of Law.

Take a gander:

So, will former NH Assistant AG Dick Head come out of retirement to track James O’Keefe down?  Will he (or his replacement) be having someone knocking on Grokster Mike’s door?  Will the newest version of “the manila envelope” open up and spill my picture on the ground?  Stay tuned for this riveting second round of the parody “Vote, vote, who is stealing our votes!”.

In the meantime, here’s a bit of a transcript – and it TRULY is very sad.  If we cannot trust government workers to obey the law, see to it that the laws are faithfully kept both in the Letter as well in Spirit of it, well, why should we little people have to follow it?  The Rule of Law is only effective when it applies to ALL.  But the transcript showing that those that would want to break the Law have willing co-conspirators in those that should be shouting “Hey, I need Law Enforcement here!”

GrokTV: GLoP

As Steve mentioned, a number of the Groksters (Steve, Scott, Kimberly, and I) went to the Ricochet and National Review event at the Raddison Manchester last night that that had two panel discussions as well as a Republican Debate watch party (yes, a different atmosphere than me sitting on the couch frantically tweeting out).  The panel that I recorded was the GLop; well worth the time as the three of them are funny as all get out.

GrokTALK! – the videos (ok a couple of them)

Internet problems abounded this past Saturday – it and the UStream servers just kept pooping out on us.  Since the “recording camera” is not hooked up to the board, it never hears the folks on the phones.  So, I’m just going to post up the segments in which we had all the participants in studio (apologies to or guests that were on the line).

You’ll note the camera (yes, equipment envy on my part) moving around during the show.  That was from the PBS News Hour getting some extra footage as Steve was interviewed by one of our guests (Lisa Dejardins) after the show.  That piece will run during Primary nite this Tuesday outlining some thoughts from people from the different wings of the NH GOP.

  • Pre-show: our normal techie checklist and random thoughts and discussions
  • Segment 1: Emily Sandblade comes on to talk about polling
  • Segment 2: NH State Rep Max Abramson delivers the dirty dealings in da Statehouse (once again, Republicans acting no so like Republicans)
  • Segment 4a&b: Lisa Dejardins from the PBS News Hour joins in and we have a great time diving into the subject of “how to fix it??”

Democrat NH State Rep Cynthia Chase is going to be some FURIOUS: Free State Project triggers “MOVE!”

Progressive NH State Rep Cynthia Chase (D): (concerning the Free State Project having chosen NH as their destination state, even as Chase did the same as a R.I. transplant): “What we can do is make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict freedoms that they think they will find here.

The Free State Project emblem

Sucks to be that micro-totalitarian, huh!  So willing to strip we who are already here of our Freedom (who aren’t even FSPers) to keep those that love Liberty from coming.  Typical Progressive – absolutely willing to PUNISH the innocent for the “sins” of the targeted folks they hate.  But the good news is here:

Free State Project Officially Announces 20,000 Signers: 100% Reached

The 3rd of February will now forever be known in liberty circles as “Porcupine Day”–the day after Groundhog Day–and the day the Free State Project officially announced the move has been triggered. Join us in the Free State!

How Much Will Medicaid Expansion in NH Cost You?

This is edited video of the press conference introducing the NH Income tax calculator; which we discussed in the first two segments of GrokTALK! this past Saturday. Cruz Wins Iowa

https://youtu.be/aCAkw3fgZeo

There are some impressive points to this win. Sen. Cruz ran against the Iowa ethanol lobby and won. Despite being the conservative Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump, but that failed to push Trump over the top. Hot Air reminds us that pastor Mike the Huckster Huckabee ran all over the state calling Cruz a phony Christian. Maybe the voters in Iowa noticed how Huckabee was more the phony Republican?

Cruz Calms Farmer Angry About Proposed Ethanol Subsidy Rollback

Sooper Mexican |  You can sense how angry the farmer is, but Cruz employs his impressively deep knowledge of the subject to explain calmly why his policies will HELP farmers, even though he’ll phase out the government subsidy. Need a short, pithy definition of Conservativism? This is BRILLIANT!

From US Senator Ben Sasse who points out, for the Progressives that have lost their way (and their minds) that America is not great because of its Government but because of Civil Society.  That would be the interactions of individuals who our Founders knew were the sovereigns and not a Monarchy, a Royal class, or the courtiers.

I keep saying that Progressives are not FORWARD looking but are,

Iowa Caucus as explained by a kid toy

Legos, that is: I dryly note the bias shown – Vermont Public Radio says “How the Iowa Caucuses works” and then goes on to tell how the DEMOCRAT cauci work with just a passing reference to the Republican version.  Yet another example of a Democrat “bait and switch” (heh!) – like during election times, they campaign about … Read more
