8-10 AM Update Ep 236 ICE Capades

Morning Update: ICE Capades

Today, on the Morning Update, for all the Left-wing DNC/DSA chatter about stopping ICE, ending ICE, threatening ICE, obstructing ICE, where is that actually happening? It’s not. Watch on the ‘Grok Rumble Channel if the Embedded Video does not load. Ep 236 Links: Authors’ and Speakers’ opinions are their own and may not represent those … Read more

KLAR: Catholic Nuns Battle in Court to Serve the Poor and Keep the Faith

The Little Sisters of the Poor, a Catholic charity that serves poor elderly citizens both in the United States and around the world, is battling in court to preserve the humble sisters’ rights of conscience against efforts of government coercion. Secular state governments, whose highest moral value appears to be ensuring as many babies are … Read more

MACDONALD: What Moron Zamdani Can’t Do

Speed is a significant factor in the likelihood of a motor vehicle fatality, but people speed every day. Some people can’t NOT speed, except when they know law enforcement is present. Shoplifters are like that too. It’s not racial inequality or colonialist oppression that makes them steal; it’s that they are thieves, likely trapped in … Read more

MACDONALD: How It’s Done

Rick Olson is a contributor to these pages, though not for some time. Other priorities, and as I always say, if it’s not fun, then do something else. But he has hundreds, if not thousands, of posts on GraniteGrok, and, as I may have said before, we spend time together. Rick is a former Marine … Read more

BANANAS: Erika Kirk Is No Jackie O?

Few things have divided our nation of late like our relationship to Israel, the war in Iran, the Rocky Mountains, and who killed Charlie Kirk.  Many on the internet are not buying the official narrative that a college dropout with a 4.0 gpa somehow managed to ascend the roof of the Utah Valley University (UVU) … Read more

MACDONALD: Hollywoke

The latest installment of Spider-Man has saved the summer superhero movie business, for now, and offered some relief after Supergirl bombed at the box office. I’m still waiting on the blue-haired feminazi screeching about bigots and whatnot, given that Spider-Man did better than Supergirl. Maybe it’s the hyphen. Or maybe it’s that we’re not supposed … Read more

CARDELLO: The Left Cannot Condemn Fraud

We have known for years that the pandemic was not the only scourge on Americans. Since 2015, millions of Americans have been afflicted with a serious, incurable disease that affects the ability to think clearly, but also impacts general mental health, usually manifesting in depression, anger, and rage. There is no known cure for this … Read more

KLAR: Have MAHA Voters Been Betrayed?

The 2026 midterms are in sharp focus as the Trump administration seeks to shore up voter support within the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) camp that boosted Donald Trump into his 2024 election win. The recent US Supreme Court ruling in Monsanto v. Durnell applied federal law to block state tort suits for illness caused by glyphosate. … Read more

MACDONALD: You Didn’t Hate the Biden Administration Nearly Enough

I opened the blurb for Friday’s Morning Update with “You don’t hate the media nearly enough.” Thirty-Four hours later, and I’m thinking, you didn’t hate the Biden Administration nearly enough. It’s no secret that Donald Trump has taken the word “war on drugs” literally. He has blown up boats and invaded Cartel leaders’ homes. Venezuela is no … Read more

MACDONALD: NY Can’t Enforce No-Mask Law

Are we far enough away from the shadow of COVID that New York passing a law banning masks isn’t hilarious? Details, I know. The Empire State would never ban medical masks even if they were worn to conceal your identity, something federal agents in Border Protection and enforcement should consider the next time someone gives … Read more

Middle of the road The middle, compromising stance of those called “centrists” or “moderates” is very often mistaken for a balanced and reasonable position. Little else is worse than an entire world tricked into what rationally amounts to crime, thinking it is balanced, realistic, and optimal. The centrist has become convinced that their middle position is the only fair and just stance, and that anything else is imbalanced extremism. The opportunity to rationally examine these assertions has never been as important as it is now. Let us start by realizing that most people do not actually call themselves centrists yet are convinced that their views are a proper mixture of ideas, a negotiation to meet somewhere in the middle, which is what centrism entails. Whether this is a mixture of safety and freedom, socialism and capitalism, or collectivism and individualism, few have admitted that their unique mixture ratio is behind their confidence in their own political views. Most are convinced that they have the right mixture, while they believe those with different views have their mixture somewhat off. How many traditional conservatives are against socialism without realizing that many of their views are based in socialism? They do not put the label of “socialism” on their beloved military, police, and public schools, but these are textbook examples of socialism. How many progressives for wealth distribution via government will truly admit that they want the profit motive to remain as the deep well from which they can perpetually draw? Nearly everyone has a mix, if only so they can satisfy themselves that they are not radical extremists. To further the confusion, there are parallels in our world that suggest to us that a mixture is best, like the alloys of metals being more useful than pure metals alone, or the right temperature being a mixture of not too hot and not too cold. It is intuitive to infer a moderate compromise in social, economic, and political matters. Now let us see the mixture from a different perspective. Engineers do not strive for a healthy balance of both planes that continue to fly and planes that fall from the sky. They are very imbalanced in their view that all planes should continue flying without issue, to every possible extent. We would find it unacceptable if the legal system outwardly promoted a healthy mix of bringing criminals to justice and letting them do whatever they want. The point to see here is that we must not mix poison into our food and call that a healthy balance. No percentage of violent crimes have a fitting place in civilization, same with fraud, corruption, and a long list of wrongful acts. The practice of forceful plunder through the apparatus called “government” is the rational equivalent of criminality, asserting that the ability to do so equates to the right to do so, and dismissing other peaceful means for funding as if they are inferior. No degree of what is rationally criminal is somehow a quality ingredient to mix into one’s political stance, even if the current laws legitimize it. That it comes from the basis of “might makes right” and violates inalienable rights means that justifying any degree of it makes a person complicit with this criminality, which is objectively criminal and evil because objective reality is altered thereby, to the subtraction from objective and measurable well-being. Well-intentioned people of all kinds mix in ideas that are objectively criminal, not seeing with rational eyes because they used the going laws as their only measure for what is just. Even those reaching for higher moral ideology believe in things like city-states and small or local governments as the solution, as if to not have fully admitted that nobody is fit or entitled to rule, whether they are a person or a group. It is the rational that gives us the tools to collaboratively orchestrate law and order, and the same that stands as the constant standard for what is good and evil, what preserves rational rights and what depletes them. If rationalism can reveal what toxic and evil justifications we might have mixed into our views, it can be the tool for helping us clean up our views, even if someone thinks that doing so will amount to extremism. IMANI: Why Do Muslims Pray On Public Roads?

The tarmac belongs to the state, yet the Islamic cult claims the asphalt for themselves every single Friday. Traffic halts, commerce bleeds, and emergency vehicles stall while hundreds bow in unison across active lanes of traffic. This public blockade is an act of war against civil order, a calculated display of territorial dominance disguised as religious … Read more

Not to beat a dead horse, but the cabal of aisle-crossing objectors to AI is a stubborn lot. Ignore the threat represented by China and other America-hating international actors. IMANI: The Conquest of Dearborn Must End Now

Streets bleed red with self-inflicted wounds while the republic sleeps. Forty-five thousand foreign-born radicals flood Michigan asphalt, executing violent ritual flagellation to mourn a warlord dead for thirteen centuries. A foreign sectarian war invades United States borders. Shia zealots march through Dearborn, swinging blades and chains into their own flesh. This spectacle honors Hussein, a … Read more
