Words have meanings, else why have them?

US Constitution, Second Amendment:

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

NH Constitution, Article 2A:

All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state.

And yet, Democrats / Socialists keep believing that they can ignore those plain words.

Some Xenophobia Is More Acceptable Than Others – Debate That

kuwait-airways-airbus
As the British Parliament debated letting an American enter their fine country because he is supposedly anti-Muslim there is an interesting un-debated issue I find interesting.

Tomorrow I can book a flight from London to Kuwait on Kuwait Airlines.

Kuwait Airlines motto is “Earning Your Trust.” Here is their web site for scheduling.

Funny how the anti-American members of Parliament don’t have any problem with an airline that will not allow Israelis on board their aircraft.

The Political System Is Rigged

“Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence.” –Thomas Jefferson

Rigged
Rigged

“The system is rigged!”  Personally, I have heard that a dozen times over the last twenty years —said by a dozen or so different people with different viewpoints. Most of those people saying it, never really provide a basis for the viewpoint, thus we write them off as cranks.

In 2016, it is no secret that the political system is, indeed rigged. This recent foray into election politics has laid bare the politically corrupt and the agenda-driven constituencies that  hold all the cards and control the game. The king-makers…the establishment, the power brokers. Those who will stop at nothing to maintain the status quo.

As you watch this ask yourself how it was paid for and by whom because … Read more

“Federal deficit to soar in 2016 after Ryan-Obama tax deal”

debt -generational debt that isThere’s a reason why “omnibus” bills are passed and sign by Republicans in DC (ostensibly, the Party of less government and lesser spending) – so they can appear to be FOR those two things and then pass the Fusion Party’s actual spending agenda.  Sure, they enacted the Sequester that actually cut spending and held the line, but just voted to undo that restriction.  And now we are about to reap that unboundedness and this time, given that the bill originated the the US House where newly coronated US House Speaker oversaw its passage, we can lay this all on the Republicans (emphasis mine, reformatted):

The tax-cut deal inked by President Obama and House Speaker Paul D. Ryan last month has put a major dent in the federal budget, helping send the deficit soaring by 24 percent, the Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday.  The $544 billion deficit projected for 2016 marks the first year since 2009 that the red ink has grown, and it powers the deficit back up over the half-trillion mark, where it had been for most of Mr. Obama’s tenure.

And Ryan and the other Rs have just made that debt sack on our backs just that much heavier.  And thanks to Kelly Ayotte as well, who voted for it. And it will get worse:

It seems rather quaint now, doesn’t it?

“Sadly, the world will never run out of busybody Malthusian socialists, it seems.”

The problem with the Left (and make no mistake, Carter certainly was a Leftist) is that they can only think in terms of the fixed,

Oh, She’s Back – Donor Class Beware

maxresdefault

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump for President yesterday and the usual crowd again proclaimed, “big deal.”

I asked myself why she might needlessly jump into a primary where she knows and is friendly with several of the combatants.

Very little of what I heard Rush Limbaugh refer to is easily found on line by these two thumbs but I did find this series of quotes.

New WMUR/CNN NH Primary Poll – Bad News For Christie and Kasich

Ted-Cruz-Donald-Trump
Trump and Cruz Leading in New Hampshire

As the First in the Nation New Hampshire primary approaches both Christie (Tough guy friend of the second amendment-not!) and Kasich (prince of light and hope) have been appearing to climb but a new WMUR/CNN poll just beat those narratives into submission. Not only are they both stuck at or back down to 6%, their favorability is in decline, and their unfavorability is on the rise.
