Post-Brexit Financial Doom Doomed?

FTSE100 Recovers all post brexit losesThe elites were astonished when the peasants of Great Britain unexpectedly voted to leave the  Progressive European Superstate they had created for them. How could they have been so wrong?

One fraudulent do-over scheme and scores of predictions of global financial ruin later and the elites appear to be wrong again. The FTSE 100 rebounded in short-order to recover all of its post-Brexit losses.

To Avoid Confusion Al Quaeda Suggests Killing White Heterosexuals

Heterosexual Family-in-GrassAl Qaeda Public Service Announcement: Please blow up or shoot white heterosexuals to ensure the Jihad gets the credit it deserves.

(Hot Air) When you strap up and head out to kill a bunch of infidels in the cause of jihad, make sure you hit the correct targets so people can’t misinterpret your intentions. In their magazine Inspire, al Qaeda is warning aspiring terrorists to avoid murdering people who fit into demographic categories which could leave their actions open to interpretation as domestic hate crimes rather than Islamic terrorism. And that means making sure that the selected targets are white and heterosexual. (Fox News)

And this is a good strategy. The media will be able to get it right from day one; “hate crimes” against white heterosexuals aren’t even “hate crimes.” In some progressive circles, if they happen to be Republicans, these are not even crimes.

As Predicted – Dems Kick Sununu to the Curb

Taxpayers to PP to DNCYou probably know by now that Republican Executive Councilor Chris Sununu did what we said he would do. He gave your money to Planned Parenthood, including retroactively, when we all know they don’t actually need it.

So what happened after the vote, other than my writing about how I was right about how he’d vote? Well, I was right about how the Democrats would treat him after the vote, too!

Perv Films Girls Changing in Bedford NH Target

I knew about this type of freakishness happening a few times in Texas just after the progressive’s twisted view of gender infected our society.  I learned over the weekend that just last week, it is happening right here in my backyard.   Allegedly, a 22-year-old man, Zachery Bishop (pictured at right) went into the changing room … Read more

Snippet 3: Koba the Dread, Zachto?

stalinSnippet 3 of this series asks: What do you call the killing of twenty million people? It’s really not called anything at all in this country. Not a word. Not a phrase. It’s not mentioned at all.  Most do not know of the massive Soviet killing. Some Russians call it “the twenty million”.  But Amis has a better name.

Lenin pursued genocidal policies (de-Cossackization) and so of course did Stalin (see below). Indeed, most historians agree that if Stalin had lived a year longer his anti-Semitic pogrom would have led to a second catastrophe for Jewry in the mid-1950s. The distinction may be that Nazi terror strove for precision, while Stalinist terror was deliberately random. Everyone was terrorized, all the way up: everyone except Stalin.

Because they were all innocent, the politicals. None of them had done anything.  On arrest, the invariable response was Zachto? Why? What for?… they are now arresting people for nothing.  Why, what for? That was the question you asked yourself each day in the gulag archipelago…

Blogline of the Day – Sin of commission and sins of omissions

WORSE THAN CONTROLLING WHAT YOU SEE, THE MEDIA CONTROLS WHAT YOU DON’T SEE: The House unveils its Obamacare replacement plan—and have you heard about it? Bias much, journalist Dave Solomon?

Show bias much, Dave Solomon? To wit: “while anti-abortion Republicans David Wheeler of Milford and Joe Kenney of Union are reliable votes against it. Sununu, a self-avowed “pro-choice” Republican” Those that are fine with killing unborn babies are “pro-choice” but those that champion keeping them alive are “anti-abortion”. Again, as we see in this case, the Left being portrayed as the positive (“pro”) while the Right is portrayed as the negative [haters] with “anti”. While technically correct, the nuance slants the reporting. And for the record I ask the question: why IS Chris Sununu trying to “Brown” himself (i.e., Scott Brown who, in running for US Senate from NH, tried to out-abortion the NH abortion queen, Jeanne Shaheen)?

So tomorrow is supposed to be the day that the NH Executive Council is going to grant tons of money to Planned Parenthood of NE retroactively.  After all, the Council voted against it last time, with Chris Sununu playing so coy with how it was going to vote (he did vote no at that time), he certainly irritated a ton of possible voters that might consider him for NH Governor.  But WHY do we ever have to wonder how someone is going to vote?  I, for one, want to Trust the votes that my candidate will cast on my behalf.  I vote for people that I don’t have to wonder about.

But also irritating, especially from a “conservative” outlet, is when the “journalist” is portraying the Right as the negative and the Left is the positive.  Like Dave Solomon did in reporting (opining?) on this upcoming vote (reformatted, emphasis mine) that caused me to leave the above comment:

New Democrat buzzword: “Weapons of War”. Guess they figure they’ve burnt out…

An Ex-Conservative turned Liberal turning Conservative again?

H/T: Powerline for putting up this snippet from The Week columnist Damon Linker “How Brexit Shattered  Progressives’ Dearest Illusion,” piece.  Read it all but I thought this was the essence of it (emphasis mine, reformatted):

I used to be a conservative. I now consider myself a liberal. But I have never called myself a progressive. There’s a reason why, and it has nothing to do with policy. Liberals believe in the rule of law; in individual rights to speech, worship, assembly, and private property; in an independent judiciary and civilian control of the military; in representative institutions founded on the consent of the governed; in democratic elections, not as ends in themselves but as checks on the power of government and as a means of gauging and forging popular support for policies pursued by public officials in the name of the common good.

Actually, that is a TRUE Western Liberal in the grandest tradition and not the run-of the mill Democrat Progressive today who hides their Socialist monster.

Kevin Williamson of NRO on the current state of Democrats vs the Constitution

quote-a-man-s-rights-rest-in-three-boxes-the-ballot-box-the-jury-box-and-the-cartridge-box-frederick-douglass-60-75-82The Corner:

The bearing of arms is a sign of citizenship, which is to say, of being a full participant in government who acts through it, as opposed to subjectship, the state of being a passive being who does not act through government but who is acted upon. In that sense, it is like the ability to vote or to be eligible for service in government. Frederick Douglass understood this linkage perfectly, inasmuch as these ideas were much better understood in those more literate days. “A man’s rights rest in three boxes,” he said.

Notable Quote – Randy Holcombe

Freedom is meaningless if we are only free to make choices that meet with government approval. The Progressive ideology compromises freedom and takes away the individual rights that at one time justified the existence of our American government. Substandard care for women is now a Constitutional right

Remember Gosnell? (If you don’t, let Skip remind you.) Among the laws passed in some states in the wake of Kermit Gosnell’s conviction was Texas’s H.B. 2, which included requirements that abortion providers have hospital admitting privileges and that abortion facilities meet the same standards as ambulatory surgical facilities.

Five Supreme Court Justices have tossed out those two requirements, via Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt. Take a bow, Mr. Justice Breyer, along with your colleagues Justices Ginsburg, Kennedy, Sotomayor and Kagan. It’s your world – a world in which women’s health takes a back seat to abortion providers’ bottom lines – and we’re just living in it.

Kevin D. Williamson took an interesting view of the case.

Hassan Signs Off On Asset Forfeiture Reform But Never Admits It.

Civil Asset Forfeiture

People are getting excited (with good reason) that Democrat Governor Hassan signed criminal asset forfeiture reform in New Hampshire,

(Forbes) New Hampshire became the latest state to roll back civil forfeiture, which allows law enforcement to seize and keep property without ever filing criminal charges. Under legislation signed by Gov. Maggie Hassan on Friday, the Granite State is now the 11th state to require criminal convictions as a prerequisite in most or all forfeiture cases. The legislation, SB 522, also raises the standard of proof to “clear and convincing evidence,” which will better protect property owners in court. In addition, SB 522 requires the attorney general to provide “detailed accounting” of grants made through the state’s drug forfeiture fund. The signing of SB 522 means New Hampshire is the eighth state to have reformed its forfeiture laws in 2016.

But she never admits to the civil/criminal asset forfeiture portion of the legislation in her signing statement.
