It’s like Obama and the Dems wanna play chicken with Zika

“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.” – President Obama, Inauguration (2009)

That there slush fund ain’t gonna fund itself, dontcha know:

As mosquitoes seem to be spreading Zika inside the United States, the Obama administration has been sitting on some of the resources intended to fight the virus.

Once again, “strings attached” strikes again; Government loves status quo

“The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.” – President Obama, Inauguration (2009)

And you wonder why Government can’t get anything done?  It won’t allow you to get rid of the stuff you don’t want that ya bought with that “free money”.  When are our local chucklehead politicians and bureaucrats learn and internalize that taking your citizens’ tax monies siphoned and recirculated by some government entity is just a bad idea for the future?

I’ve railed about my hamlet’s adverse problems with stuff built long ago and now it’s turned out to just raise the local property tax when a private sector entity would have just said “raze it, it just isn’t worth it anymore”.  Betcha Meredith (NH) is wishing they were private as they just got caught by the short…

What do teachers and Planned Parenthood (and Maggie Hassan) have in common?

SchoolhouseBehold – they all hate “involved” parents influence of their children:

A spokeswoman for the Planned Parenthood affiliate in Alaska is criticizing the state’s new sex education restrictions that require the curriculum to be approved by local school districts and open to review by parents.

Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii spokeswoman Jessica Cier said the legislation — which is becoming law without Gov. Bill Walker’s signature — is a “crushing blow for comprehensive and medically accurate sexual health education” because it will invite considerable scrutiny of the curriculum by parents and local boards of education.

Like I’ve said before, who owns my children?  According to Cier, it ain’t me and it ain’t you.  And look at that Progressive rail about Power being decentralized – why, how DARE they?  And don’t those local BoEs and parents just KNOW they are absolute rubes that that know nothing?  WE is the experts!

Data Point – this is “sustainable”?

Makers vs takers.  Producers vs moochers. Look, I’m fine with helping those that REALLY need it but too often (and I’ve been up close to them) able bodied people just milk the system.  But at what point does this break? And then ask – what happens to all those that have become very cozy in the … Read more

Post-show: How else do you think the Media has earned the moniker of “Democrats with bylines”?

That last phrase courtesy of Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit.  We talked briefly about this state of affairs of the so-called “Press” and their utter contempt towards Republicans and then, Conservatives and Libertarians (Do NOT confuse the latter two groups with the first – I posit that fewer and fewer Republicans are Conservatives (even as they all call themselves that) and can’t stand Libertarians).

This is an example of their “byline” activity.

Two weeks ago at the Republican National Convention (RNC) a grieving mother blasted Hillary Clinton for the debacle of the 2012 Benghazi attack. Last Thursday, at the Democratic National Convention (DNC), grieving parents gave a speech criticizing Donald Trump for his statements against Muslims.

While all the grieving parents deserve sympathy, the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) network evening and morning shows seemed to only care about the parents that showed up at the Democratic Convention. Khizr Khan and his wife Ghazla’s DNC appearance earned 55 minutes, 13 seconds of Big Three network coverage, nearly 50 times more than Pat Smith, whose RNC speech honoring her son earned just 70 seconds of airtime.

Data Point – US Manufacturing

American factories and American workers are making a greater volume of stuff than ever — high-tech, high-value products that are competitive in markets around the world. What Ian Underwood said

which was (in part): But I urge the committee to consider a couple of deeper, less obvious consequences, not just of passing a bill like this, but of even bringing it up for consideration. The first is that a bill like this undermines respect for the very rule of law itself. After all, if the legislature … Read more

Concord Monitor: Missing articles about Carl Gibson and Yvonne Dean-Bailey

carlgibson

Recently it was reported that the Concord Monitor refused to allow their reporter, Nick Reid, to testify in court in Democrat operative Carl Gibson’s voter fraud case. They claimed it was a First Amendment right that Reid not testify even though Reid was the one who discovered that it was Gibson who sent a hoax email during Yvonne Dean-Bailey’s election back in 2014. Ironically, a majority of the articles have disappeared from the Monitor’s website.

The Democrat Party Uses Violence to Gain Power

One of the frauds attempted during the Democrat Convention is that Democrats want to reduce gun violence in America.  While I’m sure most Democrats consider themselves anti-violence, the party they support is the party of violence.  Democrat politicians and leaders, excuse, encourage, and use violence, successfully, to advance its political objectives.

While the sympathy displayed for the victims of gun violence and their families may have been sincere, the Democrat Party leadership willingly sacrifices people in their quest for power.  Democrat Party policies make America more violent, make law-abiding Americans more vulnerable to criminals and terrorists, and use violence to get support for, or at least acceptance of, their policies.

Maggie Hassan supports outrageous transgender Obama ‘guidance’ in NH schools

school-bathroom-law

On Friday it was reported by NHPR that New Hampshire’s useless Attorney General Joe Foster filed an amicus brief supporting Obama’s transgender ‘guidance’ to allow males who have gender identity issues to use female bathrooms, changing rooms and locker rooms and vice versa. The problem is that the majority of Granite Staters are absolutely against these new rules being handed down from the federal government.
