A_bull_mooseSo, I’m reading a column from the Keene Sentinel about New Hampshire’s Moose population. The premise is that if nothing changes there will be no Moose in New Hampshire by 2045.

I’m trying to keep an open mind but the narrative strains credibility.

Warmer springs and autumns create better conditions for ticks who have a detrimental effect on Moose. I believe that. And if they say there are fewer moose I believe that. But the tone hints at years of such conditions (as a result of Climate change) when that just isn’t true. And I was still ready to let that go until I read this.

In March 2015, three weeks after the New York Times reported the existence of Clinton’s private server and the House Benghazi Committee sent a letter demanding that her records be preserved, someone on Clinton’s staff (the name seems to elude everyone) began furiously deleting emails using an anonymously downloaded program that “shreds” files so they are unrecoverable.

Equally damning is the picture that the FBI’s report paints of Clinton’s confessedly oblivious service as secretary of state. The charitable way to interpret the answers she gave the FBI in July is to say she went through her time at State without understanding the most basic aspects of her job. Her answers about securing classified information are so befuddled that they read like the moment one decides granny shouldn’t have the car keys anymore.

“Voting Is About Choosing Who Best Represents Us, Not Who We Think Will Win”

Ah yes, another way of what I have been saying for years:

Winning is only a precursor; it is what you do AFTERWARDS that is most important.

To wit, you win only to get something done.  Or, miserably true, to just BE someone. Winning is important but not the end all be all – the moral of both my meme and the RedState post.  It is voting for the person that in persuading me that their beliefs are mine and that I can TRUST that they will honor their pledges once assuming office. Sadly, in many cases, the voters on the Right get duped as “Winning” then turns to be the operative word – and the ONLY operative word. Caruso continues:

As one of the first people to declare that I would never vote for Donald Trump, I am constantly barraged by people telling me there are only two choices in the presidential election. One of them is Donald Trump and the other is Hillary Clinton.

When reminded the election is not a binary choice and other candidates are available, I am almost always met with, “But none of those other candidates can win! Why would you waste a vote?” It is this mindset that reveals a total of lack of understanding of why we vote in the United States.
