I’m behind the 8-ball once again with WikiLeaks just dumping a lot of Hillary’s Campaign Manager and long term political hack John Podesta’s emails.  It is infuriating to me to see the collusion of MSM, her campaign, the think tanks and the Obama Administration.  Worst of all is the utter disdain and disgust that Hillary’s campaign staff and other hanger-oners have for religion and those of us of faith but that will have to wait for another post.  It does make for the PERFECT example of why the religious population of Christian persuasion are under such attack with no though of offending them (but NEVER offend a transgender Muslim convert, right?).  Oh, and that she thinks SO much of the United States, she wants to completely remake it over via NO borders and no controls – imagine what that would mean for we American citizens? And the utter depravity of someone who is unwilling (unable?) to look the American people in the eyes and tell us what she (or them) REALLY believe and will do to us if she were to gain the Presidency.

Monday the UK Independent published the following headline. “Global warming doubles size of forest fires in US West, study finds.”

Global warming has caused the area affected by forest fires in the western United States to double over the last 30 years – and the problem will continue to get worse until the trees start to run out, according to new research.

Well of course it did. The “study” (see the image above) cherry picked it’s starting point. Had the editors been honest they’d have accurately reported that forest fire acreage burned in the US is down roughly 400% in the age of Man-Made ‘Global Warming.’

A law in Massachusetts meant to require the public to provide a broad range of access and accommodation to anyone claiming to be a transgender went into effect October 1st.

Alliance Defending Freedom has filed a suit to block the law.

The ADF contends in the lawsuit that churches would be forced to open changing rooms, shower facilities and restrooms based on perceived gender identity and not on biological sex. The group says because the law also prohibits covered entities from making statements intended to discriminate or to incite others to do so, Healey and the commission “also intend to force churches and pastors to refrain from religious expression regarding sexuality that conflicts with the government’s views.”

A few weeks ago I spoke with Dustin Siggins about the new law and the footnotes in the guidance issued by the state make it clear that churches could be in the crosshairs.

It hit me yesterday what is happening with NBC sitting on that tape with Billy Bush, the New York Times going back 30 years for a woman who claims she was “touched inappropriately”,

Sidenote: “inappropriately”; heck, at a lot of colleges / universities nowadays, “inappropriately” can mean almost anything a victim or SJWs (or just illiterate spoiled precious snowflakes) want it to mean including just looking / starting at someone. Go ahead, challenge me on this.

WaPo and LAT chiming in as well. All of the MSM seems to be aligned for one singular person – and I remembered, that I’ve seen this all before in using sexual allegations and the press circled like the Democrat-with-bylines they are.  And we had a STERLING example of it happening, courtesy of WMUR’s Amy Coveno:

Recap: Treehugger’s Katherine Martinko had a hissy fit that people are misbehaving and not living up to her standards about eating meat.  She just can’t understand WHY we carnivores just won’t get the message and save the planet by going vegan (here’s a hint: PETA – People Eating Tasty Animals).  Yep, we’re the apex predator and they are what’s for dinner instead of cauliflower. But it was fun in the comment area as Part 1 showed.  I continued to to cross swords with Jim Gordon who rather took exception that I challenged his thoughts:

As I have blogged earlier, I have stopped watching the New England Patriots games as I refuse to be politically preached to during a sports event. Apparently, as I have been watching for these signs since SJWs started putting on the uniforms (emphasis mine):

So much for healing the racial divide, eh Obama?  Almost everyone agrees that race relations have gone south in a big way with folks like Reverend Al and other “leaders”, “community organizers” whose main tool is rub everybody raw, Black Lives Matter types that like to chant “Pigs in a blanket; fry’em like bacon” and spoiled college brats acting like 2 year olds having the stereotypical tantrums. And I’ve been watching that the call for “reparations” happening more often with more onerous terms.  Well, one person put the “guilt” that we all should puddling ourselves when the usual claims that all of us whites have to pay up for the slavery of our past. Emphasis mine:

The problem with the concept of reparations is that it blankets an entire race with blame. In the case of events the left typically refers to – the enslavement and trade of black people – it happened long ago, in a time none of us were alive to see.

For instance, the pervasive myth that seems to float around in people’s minds is that white people all across America owned a slave. As if it was some kind of common practice, and we had a slave each. This is demonstrably false. In reality, less than 1.4% of Americans owned slaves. Owning a slave wasn’t necessarily cheap. Purchase, feeding, clothing, etc, couldn’t be done if your economic situation was meager. Not to mention those who didn’t own slaves purely out of their morality making it abhorrent to them.

As we traverse a media landscape where destroying the lives of women who have accused your husband of rape is less concerning than just badmouthing them. Republicans need only remember that US Sen. Jeanne Shaheen has already given you and Donald Trump out, assuming you want one.

While not exactly answering a Question about something Hillary Clinton did, Sen. Shaheen said,

Concord, NH – Today, Senator Kevin Avard (R-Nashua) issued the following statement after learning there are $3.7 million in unspent funds for Developmental Disabilities Waitlist in FY 16, with 166 citizens still waiting for services according to the latest dashboard issued in July. This information came to light as part of the Agency Requests submitted last week.

“I can’t understand how nearly $3.7 million was unspent for developmental services out of an $8.7 million budget. It is truly disgraceful that the DD-waitlist still exists, considering it should have been eliminated altogether after Governor Hassan’s budget veto was overridden, and there were funds that went unspent in FY 16.The budget provided fully funded the amount the Department of Health and Human Services determined was necessary to eliminate the waitlist and provide services to all eligible individuals with developmental disabilities.”

For me in this upcoming election, it is about Trust, Consistency, and the fulfillment of the meme “Winning is only a precursor; it is what you do AFTERwards that is most important.”  Can I Trust that the person I vote for will do what they promise?  Will they be Consistent with the political beliefs that they say match up with mine?  And will they actually DO both once they win?

Or break my heart?  Sadly, the subset of politicians that don’t is rather sparse.  It is both the nature of the beast and the low regard that politicians have for honor, courage, Consistency, and promises kept. Paul Mirengoff at Powerline puts it a bit differently, but the same.  A couple of excerpts, reformatted and emphasis mine, but go read the whole thing:

On Friday, Ammo Girl (hereinafter Susan) wrote a characteristically excellent post arguing that conservatives, and in particular elite pundits, should rally behind Donald Trump. Basically, she argued (1) that Trump is clearly preferable to Hillary Clinton and (2) that the election presents us with a “binary choice” between the two major candidates…As for Susan’s argument, I agree with her first point. Trump is clearly preferable to Clinton, in my view. I won’t make that case here except to say that I prefer a terrible person who will deliver a partly liberal and partly conservative administration to a terrible person who will deliver a mostly left-liberal one.

Hold onto that thought because I immediately thought “I no longer will vote for least worst”; I still hold to that.

One of their main spear points in the culture wars has been to replace traditional morality (not that it was totally practiced but most understood and at least gave lip service to it) with a libertine sense of morality (the old “do it if it feels good”).  So they should be surprised?  Course not – this has been happening since the beatnik movement back in the 50s and the hippies in the 60s and 70s.  It has been “push the limits” for decades and at this point, what really can be left undone…

…except we are now seeing the emphasis on thought control and having destroyed the country’s Judeo-Christian morality, we see that they are now trying to use Orwell’s 1984, not as a warning, but as a guidebook, for they are also following (Godwin’s Law be damned) Herr Goebbels:
