I used to write a lot about the “Mainline Protestant denominations” and how they were crumbling even as they denied that their foundational and Biblical doctrinal changes were the reason why. I just came across a post that updated the sorry state of the Episcopal Church – and the leadership still hasn’t learned the lesson as they win battle after battle against their local churches and refuse to see they are losing that war. They moved from being Biblically oriented to driven by all of the SJW tenets of the day: open borders, gay marriage, less about God and more about the world, to the point of rejecting why they were “in business” (which was saving souls through Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross).

If you no longer believe that Jesus is the Son of God, well, you’re just a country club with ornate windows and an expensive old-fashioned organ but without the greens, tennis courts, and pool.

Fools.  There are just too many people in Government that believe, simply by dint of receiving a government paycheck, that they know better than everybody else on what they should buy and when.  Like the Cash for Clunkers that didn’t meet its goal of Keynesian “stimulating” the auto industry by paying people up to $4,500 to turn in their old cars (to be crushed) for new ones.

And what did it really accomplish? Other than moving SOME people to make a buying decision earlier (note – who were already predisposed to buying a car ANYWAYS) and cost taxpayers about $24,00/car for the cost of the program, I’ve come to only one conclusion as to what it really did.

I don’t agree with him all the time but on this, I do.  The GOP made a singular promise, over and over, for seven years.  Now, like the dog that finally caught the car, they don’t seem to know how to govern.  Which is to say, keep that promise, to completely repeal and replace Obamacare, that they made to us and we gave them the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.  Here’s what he had to say (H/T: Breitbart, reformatted and emphasis mine):

The issue of filming the police in the course of public duties is one near and dear to many hearts here in New Hampshire. So this decision from the Third Circuit Court of Appeals (Fields v. City of Philadelphia) is worth visiting.

This case involves retaliation. Richard Fields and Amanda Geraci attempted to record Philadelphia police officers carrying out official duties in public and were retaliated against even though the Philadelphia Police Department’s official policies recognized that “[p]rivate individuals have a First Amendment right to observe and record police officers engaged in the public discharge of their duties.”

In a few months, maybe weeks, the President Trump Election Commission will start taking public testimony.

This has the leftist, progressives, Marxists, college professors of gibberish, and our star media all in a panic, to say the least. They will plead there is no need for an election commission to investigate how Federal Elections are conducted by the states. A large portion of their complaint will be there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud. Progressives will especially object to President Trump pointing out the possibility of millions of illegal votes cast in the last election.

Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, former chairman of the IPCC, clearly spelled out that aim. Ms. Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change until last year, openly stated that it was not about climate but that, for the first time, it gave them the tools to replace capitalism. Former UNFCCC section director Ottmar Edenhofer bluntly said climate agreements are actually about how “we de facto redistribute the world’s wealth by climate policy.”
