Once again, I take great delight to remind you all of NH Governor Chris Sununu’s own words about running for President:
Hangover: An “Evergreen” statement by Sununu himself on low-rated wannabes:
Mr. Sununu also warned minor candidates not to carve up the field.
“I think there’s a lot of hope and opportunity for good candidates to get in, drive the message where it needs to be,” he said. “But the discipline is getting out, too. The discipline and saying, ‘Look, you’re only polling at 5%, you got to get out.’ We don’t want a crowded field here.”
So last week, Sununu stood at 0.5% over at RealClearPolitics polling. One would think with his attention veering towards facing the north end of any TV camera available that his rating, with his “genial and upbeat” demeanor would be making an impact (except ticking on a large population percentage Primary voters as he’s ransacking Trump for being too old and being a Loser) in bettering his standing in the polls.
‘Fraid not – not at all:
In fact, he dropped a tenth of a point: 0.4%. There he is – rightmost column which means dead last. I dryly note that Vivek Ramaswamy, who is getting a good looking at by those on the Right, went up: from 0.9 to 1.4%.
Sidenote: he was here in NH last week but being sick/taking care of sick family, I missed him.
True, not in the troposphere level of Trump and DeSantis. Vivek is making the same kinds of round that Sununu is but seems to be a better ROI than Chris.
Doesn’t hurt to think that perhaps (heh!) it was Vivek’s go-round with Don Lemon part of Lemon’s firing today from his CNN gig.
