I was saddened to learn of his passing this morning via an email from the NH GOP

(603) 318-4437Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Republican Party mourns the loss of former State Representative Paul Mirski of Enfield. Chairman Chris Ager issued the following statement:
“Rep. Mirski never met a conservative cause he wasn’t willing to champion. His legacy will be long lasting and his mentorship of so many Republicans will be missed dearly.
On behalf of the State Party, I offer my deepest condolences to Rep. Mirski’s family and friends.”
When I became politically aware (and then active), GraniteGrok was started. Of course, one of the items of interest was the NH GOP. Paul, having already been familiar of what we had been reporting, held out his hand in friendship. He voluntarily offered (without specifically saying it out loud) to mentor me on the politics, the factions, the people, the relationship, and the politics encompassing all of those items. He also provided a lot of history of the NH GOP that assisted in setting a context for me for all that. All done out of the goodness of his heart – he didn’t know me from a hole in the wall (even if it was a LOUD hole).
I haven’t spoken with him for a while – that love/hate relationship with the NH GOP that I’ve written about before. That said, I will miss him.
