Matt Walsh – “Follow Up Question: What is the Difference Between Gender and Personality?”

Matt Walsh is famous for his question, “What is a Woman?” after new SCOTUS Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson infamously stated that she couldn’t state what a woman was because she wasn’t a biologist.

So much for getting answers about abortion and the uncivil Culture War (e.g., transgenderism) that the Left has unleashed upon us all.

Sidenote: Yes, I have a biology degree so I am happy to instruct anyone that asks me, “what is a woman.” Sometimes, depending on who is doing the asking, VERY happy and delighted to inform that person!

This clip is the Q&A from Walsh’s talk at UC Berkeley.

While the sponsoring organization was YAF (Young Americans for Freedom), it took place at that bastion of socialism, UC Berkley.

This post’s title comes from the first person that came to the mic: What should the next question be after “What is a woman?” and Walsh’s answer is quite revealing: What is the difference between gender and personality?

Think about that for a bit. Historically, gender and sex were synonyms for each other – and both are tied to biology which is binary in nature. Either you are male or you are female. Each has different physical characteristics from the genetic level to the sexual differentiation that is, in the vast majority of cases, physically observable during and after puberty (let’s leave the extremely small percentage of those suffering from hermaphroditism or other development malfunction of gene expression for being the outliers they are).

The Left has made it clear that they have cleaved those definitions – sex is physical and gender is made up (how else can one keep up with the ever-growing “new” genders every day other than it seems to be a weird sexuality arms-race to think up the next “gender category” almost as if its a case of “I WIN” contest). So Walsh’s question is a good one – and really hard to quantifiably answer. After all, your personality can be that malleable part of someone. Why CAN’T it be a personality issue and not a “gender issue”?  Can’t personality / psychological makeup be sufficient to explain this all?  After all, a “dysphoria” (as in “gender dysphoria”) is an aspect of someone thinking or emotions – but not of biology alone.

I’ll throw this out to you in the comments – have at Walsh’s “second” question.
