Rung and Murphy Campaign Signs Should Say “We Block” People over Politics

Merrimack Democrats Rosemarie Rung and Nancy Murphy are sharing namespace on campaign signs for 2022. These things popped up like weeds this past week. They’ve got a tagline that’s just a friggin riot.

People over politics.

I’ve been blocked or muted by any number of Democrats, including Rung. Many people have, and not just constituents of these same Democrats. It is a practice Rung has been engaged in for years. Why? Because politics differ. In other words, politics over people.

Rung and Murphy have placed a bold-faced, quickly refuted lie in front of the people of Merrimack. It is a statement begging the question.

Do you genuinely put people before politics? Not a chance.

The modern Democrat party turns on purity to their agenda. Collateral damage is expected, and so what.

Voting Democrats is the thing that makes you a person, black, gay, or a woman (whatever that is). The Left isn’t even subtle about it. Biden’s Red Speech, the rhetoric from the media. So, it’s ballsy of Murphy and Rung to drop that tagline given the current Left-Wing intolerance for opinions that differ from theirs.

Politics before People

Murphy was the co-sponsor of legislation to silence people whose politics differed from hers. HB1159 would carve out exemptions from free speech for elected officials and their families, allowing them to chill the speech of those who might otherwise speak out for fear of being sued.

Both Murphy and Rung are ideological buddies with Rep Sherry Frost, who makes their politics over people look like amateur hour. Frost is one of the most intolerant reps in modern New Hampshire history, and mere association makes any claim about politics taking a back seat absurd.

Not once, to my recollection, have they ever publically admonished Frost for her hyperbolic politics over people’s antics, or anyone else, for that matter.

In other words, the sign should say We Block People Over Politics.

Rung and Murphy Yard sign people over politics modified

Or just politics over people.

This “shopped” version is a bit more realistic. Do not, by the way, touch, remove, or alter any campaign yard sign, regardless of whose it is. If we find out, we’ll take you to the same woodshed as everyone else who gets caught doing it.

As for politics-before-people Rung and Murphy, you don’t have to take my word for it. Just visit them on social media. Rung loves Twitter, and I can’t imagine she made time to scrub years of political intolerance and politics before people from her feed. It’s easier to block you or mute you.

So, scroll her feed.

And if she has scrubbed it, and you are not muted or blocked, engage in a polite, meaningful debate some evening about anything Democrats insist is a revered truth, priority, or “right,” and take and politely challenge the position.

It shouldn’t take too long for the truth to reveal itself.
