Being the Chair of the Belknap County Republican Committee, I made it known of my displeasure that the new Communications Director of the NH GOP has positioned the Party to support the incumbent Governor over the three candidates (that I know about) that will be primarying Chris Sununu.

Subject: FW: New NH GOP Communications Director
Dear Steve & Pam:Perhaps it might be a god idea for our new communications director to read and understand the bylaws of the NHGOP, especially the section that prohibits the NHGOP from taking positions in primaries.
We all know that there is going to be a primary for the governor’s race, with at least two candidates announced in addition to Sununu- so it would seem to be highly inappropriate for the NHGOP’s communications director to advocate for the re-election of the governor.
It is one thing to advocate for the election of a Republican for governor, but quite another to advocate for the re-selection of the existing governor who is facing a primary.
