Rhode Island Bill Would Fine Adults and Double Their Taxes If They Don’t COVID-Vaxx Their Kids [Update]

RI FLag - Hope - You Got the Jab

The Rhode Island Dems Echo Chamber must have very thick walls. Despite months of Doc drops from Pfizer revealing how unsafe and ineffective their COVID “cure” is we still got this. S2552 would mandate vaccination of everyone including kids 16 and older.

The blanket mandate covers all residents and anyone who works or pays taxes in Rhode Island.

Employers can be fined if they have unvaccinated employees. Parents can be fined if they have unvaccinated children (presumable over the age of 5 – Pfizer finally walked back their quest to jab the wee ones). But you won’t just be fined 50.00 a month, your state taxes will be doubled.

(e) Any person who violates this chapter shall be required to pay a monthly civil penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00) and shall owe twice the amount of personal income taxes as would otherwise be assessed pursuant to chapter 30 of title 44.

You can request an exemption but you need three physicians and the unimmunized child’s signature and the Rhode Island Public Health Stasi could still investigate and deny the exemption.

All employers must require proof of compliance with this chapter for any employee employed in in-person work within the State of Rhode Island. Employers may choose to waive proof of compliance with this chapter for purely remote work. Any employer found to be knowingly in violation of this section for more than seven (7) days shall be required to pay a monthly civil penalty of five thousand dollars ($5,000) for every violation.

Am I reading into this too deeply or does that sound like employers need to enforce the mandate for their employees and their employee’s kids?

Proof of compliance with this chapter. The Child requirement is part of that, yes? I think I’m wrong but if not, that would be very ugly except for the remote exemptions which make no difference if they are remote inside Rhode Island. You’ll still need to get The Jab™ and Jab your kids or else!

And we’ve not even touched on the fact that even if the mRNA vaccines worked (they don’t) kids never needed them. There’s also the ethical question of forced pharmaceutical intervention when there are plenty of safe, affordable, treatments (some just pennies a dose) pre and post-infection.

None of that here.

The directors of the department of health and the department of revenue shall have the power to promulgate regulations to ensure compliance with this chapter.

Oh, Joy.

Get out of Rhode Island.

[Update]

This happens when you write things and wait too long to publish them.

“According to WJAR, state Sens. Jonathon Acosta and Tiara Mack have removed their names from the bill after initially co-sponsoring it. The Democratic lawmakers did not explain why when the outlet reached them for comment.

Bell declined an interview with the local news station but said he believed there is more support for a universal vaccine mandate than people realize.”

I doubt it has anything to do with desire or will but a lot to do with re-election. Having an authoritarian itch and scratching it are often two different things. Maybe three. Scratching it in public vs. scratching it where no one sees or notices.

Someone noticed this bill and a few folks have gotten cold feet.
