We are upgrading our server. Right now. As I type this. We are moving from a 6+year-old physical server (no longer supportable) to a virtual server all our own, on a physical server that is a BEAST. Yes, faster load times and more space to reduce or eliminate any crashes.
To that latter bit – our audience is growing and the current server has been bumping up against a lot of capacity issues (software and hardware). When a number of them coincide we can get the Big KaBOOM!
Site crash.
We’re not happy with that and we know that you folks aren’t either.
So, Steve and I decided it was time to upgrade the server with the assistance of a few generous friends that recently became part of our “Grok Family” who believe in what we’ve been doing.
Unexpected, very surprising, and I have to admit, they rendered me speechless. HOW OFTEN DOES THAT HAPPEN!?!?!?!?!?!
I was literally on the phone with one and the words were “go look at your texts!” and I was so stunned, I couldn’t even say a word.
How do you fumble speaking the words “Thank you” – but I accomplished that illogical feat!
