“Kevin McCarthy could never be speaker of the house of representatives and shouldn’t be considered by any Republican, any member of the congress whatsoever.
If they do not understand ownership of the importance of the 45th President of the United States and his policies..” – Lou Dobbs, The Great American Show
I think that Mr Dobbs speaks for many of us MAGA types longing for the Trump years and looking forward to the return of the many winning policies that once again put America FIRST. All that stands between us and that result are Democrats. AND some Republicans. Some POWERFUL Republicans. This is the sad reality that we face as we enter the final stretch to the upcoming all important midterm elections, which is the first step to taking back America.
To that end, and given the conventional wisdom that we should be on the cusp of a giant Red Wave of Republican victories, the primaries to pick who gets on the ballot in November are probably more important in the battle to save our country. As the process moves forward here in NH, people like myself and others will be using a variety of metrics to discern who is MAGA, and who will aid and abet the ever growing leviathan Deep State swamp. One useful tool that is most obvious is the “friends” they keep. Each and every candidate will CLAIM to be MAGA, but not all will go beyond just using that to get the nomination.
I’m with Lou Dobbs on the above sentiment: if you’re touting Kevin McCarthy for speaker and as an endorser, you are probably not my guy. Or GAL…
Consider this Tweet from a few days back:
Hmmm…. This is a major red flag for me. Especially with a person that, having had a taste of working down in the swamp, came back and decided to hurry up and get back there. Additionally, she has never held elected office and, to my knowledge, has never been an activist here in the Granite State. Her main credentials happen to be the people she knows and supports, or support her. I mean, Elise Stefanik? While she’s better than Liz Cheney, her record is not one that screams MAGA: http://congress.freedomworks.org/legislators/elise-stefanik.
As the Gipper famously warned us:
“Now more than ever is a time for choosing.”
I am leery of unknowns, swampy denizens, lobbyists, and friends and fans of them all. We are going to need swift action from a person who will hit the ground running and not worry about accommodating and compromising with many of the same people that helped get us into the current dire predicament.
I would be remiss if I didn’t add that these same thoughts apply just as well to several others vying for the nomination here in the First District of NH. But, thankfully, not all…
