President Trump has asked Cory Lewandowski to help oust Chris Sununu from his job as Governor of New Hampshire.
“The president … is very unhappy with the chief executive officer of the state of New Hampshire, Chris Sununu,” Trump adviser and one-time campaign manager Lewandowski said Tuesday on “The Howie Carr Show.” “Chris Sununu, in the president’s estimation, is someone who’s never been loyal to him and the president said ‘it would be great if someone would run against him.’”
This will be interesting!
There are a lot of folks that will continue to be loyal to Baby Huey but not much intellectual horsepower is needed to figure out that GraniteGrok is not in that camp (Being better than the Democrat is not exactly a founding principle).
It’s mostly those in the NH GOP Establishment who are his biggest boosters, that and not seeing any viable candidate with money and name recognition, it will stay that way.
But, there is the Liberty and Freedom wing of the Party which holds the Constitution WAY above Sununu (in comparison Chris is “of no consequence”). Add that intersection with the Always Trumpers and there is a considerable critical mass of folks that would toss him aside in a heartbeat but Corey will need to,
- Find that viable candidate
- One that aligns with those two groups
- The money to rais a challenge to Sununu (given Trump’s involvement, not an insurmountable task at all)
- Start the primary “air war” NOW
So the question is: where is that rabbit that Corey needs to put into his hat?
