A few weeks ago, I noticed that the Concord Monitor was promoting a new feature. It has something to do with special reporting on climate change. The Boston Globe just announced something like this as well. It won’t stop with them.
I expect it to become a nationwide commitment to creating a Climate Fear echo chamber like they did with COVID.
Media malfeasance on COVID may never be truly known, but by refusing to do journalism, hundreds of thousands may be dead, millions harmed. Their refusal to hold public health officials’ feet to even the smallest of fires created a culture of fear. Not just of a virus most of us would or could survive but fear of the treatments that would have reduced hospitalizations and deaths for those truly at risk.
In New Hampshire, only a handful of outlets shared the truth so the people could decide, and they were all new media and unpaid. Bloggers like us or private citizen activists.
The legacy media seems content to continue that trend by adding an enhanced emphasis on another fear campaign. Liberty is going to end the world.
They are promoting a renewed focus on issues relating to Global Climate, and we should expect the same shoddy partisan approach to this as we got with COVID (elections, the border crisis, the economy, supply chain, international news, well – everything).
Why tell us, Steve, we all knew that?
Because you guys are, as I’ve noted from time to time, the best research assistants for which a blogger could hope. Taci, Bill, Laura, Laura, Amil, Lynn, Beth, Howard, John, Anthony, Karen (Yes, Karen), David, Josh, and others. I get far more than I can use, and that is not a suggestion you send less. Please add this to your radar.
These sh!tty “professional” media douchebags will continue the fear campaign on a new front—a flanking maneuver. New media is the only place left to rebut and debunk that garbage. But I can’t be everywhere or see even a fraction of what they’ll be shoveling, so I need you, and anyone else who wants to join in, to send me that stuff too.

When the legacy media starts lying about climate on the front page, and that’s their plan, we need to step up and fisk it. When it’s garbage science, as most of it will be, our job is to provide balanced research and reporting as time and space permit.

One more point. Make note of who their sources are or if they even name any. There are a number of well-funded climate extremist groups on the left who are creating narratives for the media to ape. And they will.
