Hospital Puts Gender Nonsense in Medical Records

Friday, I logged into the patient portal for St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH to update my medical records and it prompted me for my “legal sex”, my “gender identity,” and my “sex assigned at birth.” Nowhere did it ask for my biological sex.

“Legal sex” corresponds to the sex on my driver’s license, which, thanks to laws passed by the NH legislature and Governor Chris Sununu, includes the nonsensical option “X” meaning the driver is neither male nor female.

“Gender identity” is an internal feeling of which of the 112 gender identities someone most identifies with.

“Sex assigned at birth” pushes the lie that the biological sex recorded on a baby’s birth certificate is pulled out of thin air by the doctor and parents.

Nowhere did they ask for the information that is needed to help medical professionals provide me with the appropriate healthcare, which is my actual biological sex.

None of this gives me confidence that I will be given quality medical care at this hospital. It terrifies me that an establishment that is supposed to provide science-based care is instead diving into the deep end of unscientific gender nonsense.
