We have breaking news from the “It’s never been about the science” file: The US Centers for Disease Control just made a significant change to COVID policy and (IMO) shot their “it’s about the science” narrative in the foot.
They have changed the quarantine guidelines for people testing positive for COVID. Why? Pressure. Political pressure. Big business pressure. And the Karen’s are not wailing in outrage!?
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) just dropped adjusted quarantine guidelines for COVID-19 and vaccinated individuals. This is after an outcry from the airline industry that the guidelines and the surge in Omicron variant cases were causing staffing shortages.
The airline industry has had a terrible holiday travel season trapped under the thumb of their own idiotic response to COVID – based on CDC guidelines. From pilots taking days off because they refuse to be bullied into getting the Jab to perfectly healthy “vaccinated” staff who tested positive with no symptoms having to take COVID layoffs.
No people, no flights. No flights, no revenue. No revenue, no business (not to mention hoards of pissed-off “customers”).
Big business and its advocates in elected office have forced the politicrats at the CDC to do something they didn’t want to do. They are admitting that Omicron is not the demon advertised. That most folks will have mild symptoms or no symptoms. That you don’t need to quarantine for 14 days or ten days. That five days will do.
This undercuts the latest evolution of the COVID cult’s “the sky is falling” narrative. The terror campaign just took a kick to the gut. It can’t be the horror they claimed, not that it ever was. And if you doubt my assessment of the damage ask yourself if they’d have done it absent any pressure from outside “their science”?
Bureaucrats do not give up power or control unless forced.
And the data tells us this was always a virus that threatened a very narrow part of the population. In its most virulent form, 99+ percent of us had more to fear from the political manipulation of treatment options than the virus. How many tens of thousands died because the CDC’s false science drove a political narrative that denied people care that would have saved their lives?
Treatments that would have undermined the political machine language of an uncontrolled pandemic that just happened to “require” tyrannical population control (and a method of voting that allowed the party behind the fear to “win” elections to take control of the American government).
The same people peddling those same narratives that the CDC just undercut.
Suse, this will feed the Potemkin village of mass testing and retesting and that massive revenue stream. Yes, we’ll probably get a double-down on masking. This plotline is collapsing, but the COVID danse macabre continues.
A tale we can only end at the ballot box they keep trying to steal under cover of COVID’s alleged threat to public health.
A story that continues to control behavior on both sides of the aisle based on political science, not medical science. And yes, they will claim this was based on science but even that is a win for our side as it becomes more difficult for them to scaremonger a flu that is behaving an awful lot like the flu before it was weaponized for partisan gain.
