Follow the Law? Only if they HAVE to, and that seems to run through all three Branches of Government: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial (in what seems to be a descending order of “how many times can I abuse my Powers?”).
Yes, I know that State laws vary and given that OUR State ruled that Public Health trumps EVERYTHING (including our Constitution), I’m not hopeful that any such Mask Mandates around the State would be struck down. However, it is nice to see that SOME States (especially the one with PA Democrat Mask Nazi Gov Wolf) has come up with some sanity (reformatted, emphasis mine):
Pennsylvania Supreme Court strikes down K-12 mask mandate
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court struck down a statewide mask mandate for Pennsylvania schoolchildren on Friday, in a defeat for Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration. The justices announced their decision to uphold a lower court order vacating the mandate, but have not yet issued a written opinion explaining the reasoning of the court.
The Commonwealth Court previously ruled that Wolf’s K-12 mask order was illegitimate because it was imposed by the state’s acting health secretary without legal authorization. The court found that acting Health Secretary Alison Beam lacked the authority to require masks, did not follow statutory requirements for issuing regulations, and acted without an existing disaster emergency in place, which the governor must officially declare for an emergency order to be issued.
Why is it that those in Power keep abusing that Power by assuming they can create their own Powers on their own say so? Why is it that people can’t stay in their own lane and leave others alone?
Even if such Powers exist (unlike SCOTUS shutting down Biden’s OSHA’s anti-eviction mandate for which there was NO Powers granted), why can’t these greedy politicians even Follow The Law’s process when it is within their reach?
