One of the earliest foreign policy failures of the Biden Administration involved Yemen. Shortly after getting his but settled into the seat behind the Resolute desk, “Biden” took Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi group off the list of recognized terror groups. They thanked him by bombing an airport.
The Biden administration’s thinking was that they would be unable to get humanitarian aid and might starve.
I guess they figured it out because the same group was so well-fed they had the strength to raid the US Embassy in Yemen and have taken hostages.
A group of Houthi rebels reportedly stormed the U.S. compound on Wednesday seeking “large quantities of equipment and materials,” according to regional reports translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. The raid comes just five days after the Houthis kidnapped Yemeni nationals who work for the U.S. embassy. “The alleged raid comes after the Houthis kidnapped three Yemeni nationals affiliated with the U.S. Embassy from one of the employee’s private residences in Sana’a on November 5,” according to MEMRI. At least 22 other Yemenis were kidnapped by the Houthis in recent weeks, “most of whom worked on the security staff guarding the embassy grounds,” according to MEMRI.
Mr. Biden, Call from Jimmy Carter. Would you please pick up the nearest courtesy phone? No, it’s not as bad as that. It looks like operations were suspended in 2015, but the “embassy” is still technically US diplomatic property, and there are local staffers and personnel on-site. Those are the hostages.

There’s a rumor that this might further inflame relations between the US and Iran.

They watched Sleepy Joe F-Up Afghanistan. He’s neither capable nor surrounded by anyone who is. If you’re a saber-rattling Middle Eastern Theocracy and the world’s number one sponsor of terror – with a goal or regional hegemony – the US doesn’t get much weaker than this.
All bad news, but it is even worse under Biden. He’s shutting down domestic energy production. When the price of oil and gas went up, he asked OPEC and the Saudis to increase production instead of letting Americans get paid to do the same thing.
Trump got us out of that trap, but thanks to Democrats, we’re technically dependent on the region for oil again.
