Iceland has joined other northern European nations concerned with heart inflammation issues tied to the Modern COVID19 inoculation. Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark have all restricted use in those under thirty. Iceland has suspended use altogether.
This decision from Iceland has come a little after Sweden and Finland, too, suspended the use of Moderna vaccine for people under the age of 30. The reason behind the two countries suspending use of Moderna for under 30s has been the same — risk of inflammation of the myocardium, the heart muscle, and the pericardium, the membrane covering the heart. Denmark and Norway have imposed a complete ban of usage of the Moderna vaccine for everyone under the age of 18.
It is worth noting that Iceland claims 88% of its population as vaccinated, and they have ample supplies of the Pfizer Jab, so this is not as profound a move as it might seem. They are still all in on a sweeping vaccination regime despite any risks they pose despite COVID19 being a threat to very few people in any population.
What it does do is add legitimacy to ongoing claims that the Moderna Vaxx creates a risk of heart problems, especially in younger men, and should not be given to anyone under 18 years of age.
That last bit should go without saying, especially in New Hampshire. Almost no one under 20 has gotten seriously ill from COVID, and we have had zero deaths in that demographic. There is no reason to jab them at all.
