School Board members generally hate Parents and voters and besides SAU16 in Exeter where Superintendent David Ryan has captured the Board members there, the Merrimack Valley School District School Board ranks high (perhaps Londonderry and Hanover are ahead but there is certainly lots of competition for this dubious title here in NH).
I’ve previously posted up the general lament here of citizens all of the nation – arrogant school boards don’t listen to we who pay the bills and WE are responsible for our kids and not schools. And then Parts 1 and 2 of the meeting that the NH State Reps from Loudon (all Republicans) tried to hold, on neutral ground at the Loudon Fire Station, a meeting with the MVSD Board members.
The latter were no-shows. I guess arrogant Chair Saylee Longnecker put the bite on the rest to not attend.
Anyways, the Reps listened and interacted with the crowd that totaled around 65 when the Livestream attendees were added to those in the Station. They came because their constituents were having a problem in Big Government – and School Boards are the Biggest Government entity in most NH small towns.
So, here is more of the meeting (Parts 1 & 2)
