Yeah, But They’re Not Voting Here In NH

At this far out, I’m not happy when I see this as people can take it as “great, I can sit back and do nothing”. NOTHING can be further than the truth. The athletic advise of “play like you’re losing all the time” is a good one.

Poll: Overwhelming Majority of Capitol Hill Aides Believe Republicans Will Retake House Majority in 2022

Seventy-eight percent of senior Capitol Hill aides believe Republicans will regain the House in 2022, up 12 percent from April, according to a poll released Monday.

The Punchbowl News poll also included responses by party, which showed 57 percent of Democrat Hill staffers believe Republicans will regain control

Additionally, 99 percent of the Republicans on the Hill believe their party will regain control of the House, ending House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) short four-year reign of trying to push through her radical, one-sided agenda.

In comparison, during an April poll from Punchbowl, an overwhelming majority (66 percent) also said they believe the Republicans will reclaim the majority, which includes 36 percent of Democrats respondents, who at the time believed they would lose the House majority.

The survey was conducted anonymously between April 11 and 28 online through Locust Street Group in partnership with Punchbowl News. The survey asked 158 senior Capitol Hill aides, which includes chiefs of staff, legislative directors, communications directors, press secretaries, and staff directors.

Yeah, and we all thought that Hillary was going to beat Donald Trump, too.  However, these senior folks on the Hill have access to their bosses’ polling data. Add to that the fact that President Asterisk’s agenda (which really is a combo of both the Democrats in the House & Senate plus all the activists that Dementia Joe has hired into the White House / Executive, has stalled out at the time of this writing. They know that, for all of the strutting, the Parties are just about even: the House is effectively only Dem+5 and the Senate is even numerically but really R+2 as Manchin / Sinema aren’t willing to break the filibuster. If the Dems can’t break it, it’s clear they aren’t going to get to 60 votes in order to pass any of the wildly Socialist agenda.

Which is fine by me. All the Democrat affiliated emails I get are wailing that Democracy is being stolen, is broken, no longer works, IT ISN’T FAIR that they can’t get stuff done.

Tough Nuggies. What they don’t want to acknowledge is THAT’S THE WAY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WAS DESIGNED. It is SUPPOSED to be hard to get things done, It is SUPPOSED to keep one faction from running over another. It’s just that the Left believes it is entitled to do ANYTHING it wants.  And it can’t.

And they know this is having an effect on their voters. Just like we have done on the Right, the Left electorate gave them the Trifecta – House, Senate (if you include Toes Up Kamala to break ties in the Senate). And with redistricting going on this year, with Republicans holding most of the States’ legislative seats, they can peer (dimly) into that new future and they see a smiling Trump looking back at them…

And they despair.

The problem in seeing this is complacency on our side. Fortunately, the enthusiasm polls I’ve seen thus far are favorable. But then again, we saw that in 2020 as well.

Don’t give up and don’t get attached to your couch. Get out there and unseat both Democrats and the RINOs that enable them. You’ll actually have to work at it but always remember:

There Ain’t No Such Thing As  Free Lunch.

Outwork the other side.
