Today I opened my email to find a letter of resignation from Don Concannon who is the Site Coordinator in the Manchester School District. Needless to say, it’s pretty explosive.
Mr. Concannon’s letter of resignation was reported by GraniteGrok this morning, and more information will be made available soon — including his official complaint filed in response to “White Privilege Training.”
It’s important to make note of who Mr. Concannon is addressing in his resignation notice, Tom McGee. Tom McGee is listed as the 21 CCLC Program Director in the Manchester School District.
I suppose Tom is the guru of white privilege in the district, guiding all of those who need to be smacked down for the color of their skin.
Let’s take a look at Tom’s background because after all, he has to have some kind of credentials in order to get that job, right? Or maybe he had some privilege of his own that helped him land his job? If so, shouldn’t he be stepping aside instead of exercising that privilege? Shouldn’t he hold himself up to the standard he’s setting for others?
Here is Tom’s LinkedIn Page :
Let’s take a look at his “credentials” since he was hired as a Program Director for the district.
- Eight years ago he was the “head cashier” at a hardware store.
- He has ZERO education background!
- He graduated from college and became an assistant head cashier.
- Then he stayed with retail after that.
- He was a School Committee member but has ZERO qualifications to be heading a school district program in one of our major cities.
- He was hired in August of 2019 and is in charge of staff development and evaluation.
At this point, you might be saying, “ ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”. Then he has this listed on the linked in page:
Did we just find Tom’s privilege? Was this a CRONY hire? Was it his connection to Mayor Joyce Craig that provided a ticket to this job?
Better yet, you should be asking…..SOMEONE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN THIS HIRE.
You see, if you read the complaint filed by Mr. Concannon, it looks like a prescription for a civil rights lawsuit. When you hire someone for the position of Program Director, it would have helped if that person had some kind of background in civil rights laws. Then maybe this district wouldn’t now be in a vulnerable position if he decides to file a lawsuit.
No wonder the guy resigned.
To all of the employees/parents in Manchester or any other New Hampshire school district, feel free to reach out to me at any time to share this kind of information. I will keep it confidential unless you want to go public.
