If Shaheen and Hassan Want to Protect Women From “Stalkers” Arming Them Would Be Better Than This

The right to self-defense is natural. You are born with it. If someone attacks you or tries to deprive you of life or property, you defend yourself. But self-reliant (and potentially armed) law-abiding citizens might defend their rights from a government seeking to deprive them of their property or their rights, so Democrats disarm them first and call that “protection.”

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) reintroduced the Protecting Domestic Violence and Stalking Victims Act with a group of Senators to close what is commonly referred to as the ‘boyfriend loophole.’ This legislation will prevent people who have abused dating partners from buying or owning firearms and stop convicted stalkers from possessing a gun.

If Democrat women wrote legislation encouraging women to possess a gun and encouraged them to learn to use it in these situations, we would not need to pretend this will help because it won’t.

When that stalker tries to cave that “girlfriend’s” head with a bat or slash her throat with a kitchen knife, she still won’t be able to defend herself, but if he didn’t use a gun, the Dems would call it a win.

And it is a win for the Left.

This has nothing to do with protecting women and everything to do with normalizing a culture that discourages not only firearms but defending yourself or others, including women, being treated like waifs by ruling class idiots like Shaheen and Hassan when it comes to firearms.

From being their fended fortress guarded by thousands of “armed guards.”

No defending yourself; that’s a job for the police they insist on defunding.

Brilliant.
