After the election of Donald Trump as President, the Left’s media (e.g., Washington Post, NY Times, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, LA Times, CBS, NBC, for starters) delivered what the Left’s electorate wanted to hear.
United in anger that such a person as Trump was able to outwit, outplay, and outsmart them as well as the GOPe.
United in anger that he had to be removed because he stopped them in their march to Socialism. He had the audacity of thinking, and then implementing “America First” – how DARE he be so in love with a country that they hated?
The media both fed into that and nurtured the left’s anger at losing. That explains their rising trust in the media over the last four years. Like babes to the breast, the Left’s collectivists swooned in all the tales and conspiracy theories that were spun up.
And no, I don’t trust the Media hardly at all. Why should I? They basically hate people like us that refuse their Narrative.
Think of every name in the book that they’ve called us as complicit Democrat Party mouthpieces. Bring to the fore every slander they’ve issued against us.
And even have tried to gaslight us in ridiculing us for leaving their bastions of Cancel (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, and Google (which, I’ve discovered, has been throttling us on results that we formerly used to be at least front pagers if not at the top of that first page). Rational people don’t like to be treated as such, so we’ve moved on to those sites that actually are grateful for our readership.
The Left leaning Media still doesn’t get it – once Trust is gone, so is their audience. Just like Fox learned – the hard way.
Insult your audience – that’s the way to win friends and influence people. Sorry, you don’t rise to the level of Don Rickles (I really DO wonder what he’d be saying if he was still alive).
