Twitter Bans Trump … Parler loses its servers… Big Tech seems to be moving to cancel conservatives… Big Tech just openly attacked the United States. We are witnessing the banning and suppression of free speech. Aggravating the action is the fact the actors became monopolies with governmental assistance. There is something very, very wrong here.
Twitter permanently banned the sitting president of the United States of America. The action came amid a broader Big Tech purge targeting conservatives. At the same time the company is permitting tweets from an actual terrorist and the communist Chinese regime. The CCP et al remain on the platform spreading propaganda. This should be telling us something.
The hand writing has been on the wall. The question was only what the trigger would be. Now Amazon, Google, Twitter and Facebook and Instagram are joining in acting. This is not only about those platforms versus the President. It is about those corporations against America.
Rationalization not explanation
Twitter may have acted first with a permanent ban of POTUS Friday. They had the balls to actually try to justify the death of free speech by blaming Trump. No, sorry, your umbrage with any user’s tweeting about not attending a Biden inauguration is not grounds for cancellation. Period… That’s over the line. Given the U.S. Government gave this company a monopoly position this is treasonous action.
This joining of forces by the Big Tech companies is nothing less than a full frontal assault on freedom of expression. Tech oligarchs are working in tandem with Leftists to silence dissent. It does not matter how much they object to what is being said. Shutting down political speech is anathema to the American way of life and western civilization. When did we agree to give up the right to disagree?
It’s clear neither political party cares about censorship. The party’s elites don’t care about protecting the rights of any individual. They are abandoning the U.S. Constitution. They let Big Tech cross the Rubicon. And now we, you and I, are in a struggle for our freedom and our very way of life. Sit on the sidelines and observe if you want. But if conservatives lose this battle, free speech is gone. With it goes everything America has stood for. Twitter Bans Trump but you must understand it is not going to end there.
Which side are you on?
Trump posted, “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th…”
Twitter says the post was potentially dangerous. You should decide for yourself. Is it dangerous? Have you ever seen anything on Twitter that is more dangerous? Would you have used the tweet as a basis for action, any type of action? Here’s Twitter’s rationalization for their action:
“President Trump’s statement that he will not be attending the Inauguration is being received by a number of his supporters as further confirmation that the election was not legitimate and is seen as him disavowing his previous claim made via two Tweets (1, 2) by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Dan Scavino, that there would be an ‘orderly transition’ on January 20th…”
It is good Twitter reads Trump’s tweets. Not everyone bothers. Twitter’s response seems hyperbolic. They chose not only to read but to interpret what was said. What is objectionable is their interpretation. Their interpretation is an act of complete fiction. It is rationalization of what appears to be a coordinated action they were initiating. Twitter Bans Trump and you think you are not on the list or won’t be put on the list?
A tune for the times…
Come all you good freemen
Good news to you, I’ll tell
Of how the good old free state
Has come in here to dwell
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
Which side are you on?
My daddy was a freeman
And I’m a freeman’s son
And I’ll stick with America
Till every battle’s won
They say in DC City
There are no neutrals there
You’ll either be a freeman man
Or a thug for Xi Jinping
Oh, freemen can you stand it?
Oh, tell me how you can?
Will you be a lousy scab
Or will you be a man?
Don’t scab for the bosses
Don’t listen to their lies
Us poor folks haven’t got a chance
Unless we organize
