Democrats are calling Ted Cruz’s arrest just hours Cruz calls for an election audit. So what’s going on? We have endured about two months of Trump battling over the election. He fought the media, the Democrats, the judiciary and the D.C. bureaucracy. Cruz and Trump have had their differences. But Cruz has Trump’s back.
Conservative lawmakers in both the House and Senate are speaking up. They are refusing to vote to certify the electoral college results. Some like Cruz are taking it further. Cruz and eleven colleagues are calling for an audit of election results. They want states at the center of the ongoing battle audited.
Why are they moving for the audit? Imagine flipping a coin 4,645,908 times. It came up heads 52% of the time. Then at 3:00 AM you flip that coin another 154,000 times. It comes up tails 100% of the time. 154,000 heads all in a row… That’s what they expect we will to accept as the facts in Michigan. Nothing to see here.
Okay maybe you are not convinced of the need
Still don’t see a reason to do an audit? Alright, then how do you explain a record low 16.7% of U.S. counties voted for Biden? Yet he won the election? Okay, still not ready to admit is sounds questionable? Not only did he win while carrying only 16% of Us counties he had the highest vote count ever… ever in history. Still think it’s not questionable? He didn’t leave his basement to campaign.
Maybe you’re right Biden is a freaking magic man. But even if you buy that; then would you support an audit if there was evidence, affidavits, videos and such supporting the following claims of fraud:
- Dead people voting
- Michigan ballot dump 6:31 AM of 134,886 all for Biden
- Corrupt tabulation software
- Tabulation software hosted off shore in Germany
- Dominion Executive is part of Biden’s team
- 28 states sent votes OVERSEAS for counting
- Observers were illegally removed from the counting area
- Poll watchers able to edit system vote totals
- Mathematical impossibilities
- Wisconsin 3:42 AM 143,000 Bide ballot dump
- 15,000 ballots miscounted in Georgia
- More votes than there are people in the county
- Fake signatures accepted
- Whistleblowers alleging wrongdoing
- Hundreds of sworn affidavits
- Venezuelan ownership stake in the voting system
- Voting system processing parts from China
- Voting machines vulnerable to hacks
What is a reasoned response?
Cruz vows he would not certify this election unless an audit was conducted. The response: Democrats fire back with, according to The Hill:
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Sunday called for critics of his challenge to the results of the presidential election to “tone down the rhetoric.”
Cruz criticized “hyperbole” and “angry language” in response to his statement Saturday, accusing Democrats of “urging that I should be arrested and tried for sedition and treason.”
“That’s not helpful … at a time when we’re pitted against each other. Just relax, and let’s do our jobs,” he said. “We have a responsibility to follow the law.”
Democrats quickly attacked Cruz for demanding an emergency audit of the election results from several states. Some leftist lawmakers went as far as to call for the arrest of Cruz—and for him to be charged with “sedition and treason.”
It you were sure you won fair and square what would you do?
Being sure the election was won fair and square that would not be my response. Probably, especially if there was interest in healing the divide and reassuring a very divided public, the proper response would be something closer to let’s make the effort bi-partisan and get this done as expeditiously as possible. But that’s what you do when you know there’s not a trace of problems with how the vote was counted.
So why do the Democrats if they truly are confident in the results of the election balking. Wouldn’t they have no problem with an audit to conclude a legitimate challenge? If there’s no fire, there’s no smoke. What did they say when they conducted a 2+ year investigation against Trump over Russia? In which they found nothing.
But no, today they are actually going after Cruz and his support for election transparency and integrity. Cruz, for his part is urging lawmakers to “tone down the rhetoric.” It seems a pretty slim bet they could find anyone to serve a warrant on a sitting senator for carrying out the responsibilities of the job.
Conclusion
Maybe they are just lashing out. Perhaps that’s what people do when they have something to hide. It could just be a reaction out of fear of what we might discover. Cruz is calling on all members of Congress to do their jobs.
Damn that must be hard for Democrats. Don’t you think we would all rest easier if we put the doubt to bed? Do you want an audit on the 2020 election? The answer seems pretty clear. Democrats are calling Ted Cruz’s arrest probably does not help us heal.
